Browns defensive tackle Gerard Warren is still Big Money, just not quite as big.
The Browns cleared some cap room on Thursday by restructuring the contract of Warren, the No. 3 overall pick of the 2001 draft, a source said.
Warren was set to make $5.8 million this season, $6.8 million in 2005 and $7.6 million in 2006.
His new deal includes a moderate bonus and an average of about $4.5 million over the final three years. The restructuring did not include an extension.
The Browns also are trying to restructure the contract of defensive end Courtney Brown. Brown is set to make $6 million this season.
