You know I hate to say but with all of the stuff people make him go through he is one damn good QB. You can hate all you want but it just doesn't affect him. That is a very good quality for a star NFL player to have. With all of the gay bashing and stuff like that it just doesn't get to him. Not one thing can affect him. On top of all of that he is a really nice guy. I don't see why people care so much. I don't care if he is Gay/Bi/Homosexual as long as he gets the job done on the field I could care a less. Even thou I am a raider fan I wish him the best of luck, except when they play oak-town

Bingo. Thats why I closed that Jeff Garcia thread that was up earlier. Its been beaten to death. THis is a football forum not a who's gay forum. jeff garcia is one of the better QBs in the NFl who cares what gender he prefers.

That is what pisses me off about people. They care too much about stuff that doesn't pertain to football. I could give crock **** about his personal life as long as he plays football and does a good job of it then im fine with him.

well regardless, he's gonna "suck" this year. A new coach with a system Garcia isn't fit to play in. Garcia has a weak arm is a small qb..the prototype WCO QB. Erickson wants to use 3 WR sets and throw downfield more..

I just heard he isn't going to be that healthy either. I remember seeing something on ESPN at the bottom scroll bar that said "Garcia Hurts Back". So that might affect him in time to come.

Im glad Fred closed that other thread. I had been monitoring it as a few others as well. You beat me to the punch. That kind crap wont be tolerated here, regardless of WHO you are.

He can lie down with whomever he chooses too, as long as hes tossing TD's like none other, by all means, have at whomever you feel like you wanna get nasty with, but the whole thing revolves around being a good QB. My personal opinion on him, well, I think hes mediocre at best. He had Rice, Owens and Stokes to throw too early in his career. Im not a QB in ANY league, much less the NFL, but when I have a star studded cast of players on my team like that, you can bet Ill get noticed.

Ask Kurt Warner. Hes another QB that is limited and shouldnt have gotten AS MUCH praise as he did a couple of years back.

Heres my formula for the Rams (Bruce + Holt+Faulk = Super Bowl)

Anywho, IMO, Garcia is a medocre QB, not because of rumors, but because of his abilities OVERALL as a QB. If he had receivers that couldnt catch a cold, much less a ball on his squad, he would be just another QB in the NFL

Erickson will "open " up the offense more..but he is going totally away from the West Coast Style of play...small passes for big gains. He is still going to use that great running game the niners have. He just wants to be more aggrsive and actully throw down field. Something Mooch rarely did. Im sure he had his reasons and we may see this yr that its because Garcia doesnt havbe a strong arm . Guess what Montana didnt either..***shhhh****

In retrospect it's not like every-single time Garcia drops back to pass Erickson's going to command him to lob it 50 yards.

We'll still have short routes, tight end outs, slot receivers on screens, and the good hands of Beasley and Hearst/Barlow. We'll just actually, maybe like 5 or so times a game throw down-field, something we've NEVER done before under Mooch.

BINGO! right on point...dont know why people think the offense is going to be totally revamped. Still same type of O just going downfeild a little more.
