Defensive Player of the year..

Who does everyone see being the defensive player of the year this year?? My bet is Rice or Peppers. Peppers i think will take it and of course im going to think that im a UNC fan and a Panthers fan. But i think he is a legit shot . I say 18 sacks for peppers this year.

Peppers is an amazing end. He started in just 12 games last year, and he picked up 12 sacks. Who knows what woulda happened if he played all 16.

Blatant homer pick but I gotta go with my boy Simeon Rice. I think he's gonna do BIG things this season and run away with Defensive POY award on the way to a Bucs repeat!!! :matrix:

I'm gonna have to say Jason Taylor this year. He may even break the single sack record against David Carr and the Texans in Week 1!:devilwink

Brian Dawkins. He does it all. He sacks, recovers fumbles, makes interceptions, scores TDs, and hits like a wrecking ball. He's the best overall defensive player in the NFL.

I don't know about best overall defensive player in all of football, but he's definetly on my top 5 for defensive player of the year...
