Kelly Holcomb named Browns starter

Holcomb named the starter, Couch get the bench. Thoughts?

heh i was just about to post this. I will root for the Browns no matter the starter but i do feel watching the Browns play the offense runs more smootly under Holcomb.

I hope they cut Couch after this year and I hope the Fins pick him up and develop him into the person he was drafted to be. He just had a rough start in Cleveland, but I really think he can be a good QB really soon.

Maybe he will still get his opp. this year, Holcombe, IMO is overrated and is a career back up, but then again so was Rich Gannon.

I think this is a blessing in disguise for Couch. I think that he needs to get the hell out of Cleveland...I can see him living up to his potential elsewhere.

It's not like Cleveland has a great team to back up Couch. You have to consider he did a fairly good job for what was around him. Being a expansion team and all getting stuck with a ton of overpriced players.

Cleveland has a great offense so Couch should of had no problem with putting up numbers with the receivers he had which go 4 deep. All 4 of the receivers could be starters on other teams. That being said i like Couch (hell i have his jersey) and feel he will be a good NFL QB it just looks like it probably wont be with the browns. Knowing the Browns luck he will go to the Pitt and tear it up.

I'm happy to see Holcomb as the starter. In the two preseason games so far, the offense seems to open up more and make more plays under Kelly. Couch seemed to be struggling alot. I think Kelly will pull it out for us Browns fans and surprise alot of people. As for Couch, he is a great QB...and took an expansion team from starting off slow...to makin' it to the wildcard playoff games, not bad in my book.

GO BROWNS!!!

yes, they go 4 deep when they're not injured. They needed time to develop. During this time, he lost his "credibility" in that city because he had to throw to a bunch of rookies, and guys with little experience.

Good move. He gives the team the best chance of winning and he should be the starter. Couch=trade bait
