Finally some redskins fans, i'm probably one of the only people i know that likes them.

The skins' are going to be good this upcoming year. I think Ramsey's ready to take the QB role, plus he's got 2 really good wide outs in Coles and Gardener that should make him more comfortable knowing that he just has to put the ball up and these guys will catch it.

The defense is going to have to step up, now, i think. We lost Green and Gardener on defense 2 really good veterans and D leaders. But Arrington, Bailey, Smoot, Ohalate, Trotter and Smith should be good enough to make it back to the top 10 defenses in the league.

These are my opinions you guys tell me what you think, or how wrong you think i am.

Who do you think will win the running back position? I personally think Ladel Betts will beat out Trung and maybe even Kenny Watson.
This would be the best case for the Redskins. Trung Canidate sure is a nice player to have on your team but he hasn't proved to me that he is a back that can be the #1 guy. Betts has the better potential. Canidate can be a weapon.

Obviously you missed the latest news - Washington has a QB. His name is Patrick Ramsey. Good or bad, Ramsey is the man. And if Ramsey can't get the job done behind that o-line, most of us won't blame Spurrier for replacing him. Spurrier likes to win football games, and he'll do what he does best - and that's find a way to do so.

I expect Jeremiah Trotter to have a much better year. He has had a year to adjust to the Redskins defense and the players around him. He should be back close to the way he played against the Birds.

I'm going to resurrect this thread from the dead and keep it going this year. These first few posts are from last season but since my main man Skinsfan posted this I want to make sure he gets credit for being the one to post the first official skins thread. Let the 2004 season talk begin!

So is Brunell the clear cut starter? I remember seeing on Around The Horn they mentioned that Ramsey has the chance to prove he is the starter.

Gibbs says that the spot is fair game. I won't be surprised if Ramsey is able to beat Brunell for the starting job, he's got a hell of a work ethic and I think will be a solid QB in the NFL for a long time, whether or not it's with Washington.
