At the end of the game, replays will be shown from your contest's top highlights.

I think this is the only thing from my wishlist that made it in the game.

One little thing added to the game is the fact that if you hold down turbo too long, your player will slow down and try to catch his breath.

Something that makes the game LESS arcade? WHO LET THIS SLIP THROUGH?!?

I think that turbo boost thingy only happens in Free-for-all. Otherwise it would be terrible, but they wouldn't throw a thing like that into the "real" game, would they? As a bonus mode this sounds great - it's always nice with a little multiplayer fun - but it's hardly something that'll make or break this game. Hopefully they'll get the other pieces together too.

Why would it be terrible? If you haven't noticed, players can't skate their fastest all the time. At least now that prevents people from going end to end with the fastest skater in the game, now you might actually have to work to get to the opponents end of the ice.

I hope they are referring to any game, and not just the free4all mode.

I guess it's OK. Aside from the cool idea of players catching their breath (which hopefully doesn't happen enough to the point where it's an annoyance) I've seen faceoff strategies, even shooting off the faceoff and after game highlights in other games so it's really nothing special to me.

I understand the function to work so that the players actually stop all together to catch their breath (with some sort of comical catching-my-breath animation) which would fit in this new mode, but not in the "real" game.

But a function which gets the players temporarily extra tired would be just fine, and realistic indeed. If that's what this thing does then I'm all for it.
