1. You can turn it off somehow, I know that much.

2. Do you really want to cycle through a few Faceoff options in the what, 6 seconds you have before the ref drops the puck? No, I'd rather be ready and concentrated on the faceoff 6 seconds beforehand.

Is it me, or does anyone else think the puck is too big. I know the game has the puck shadow turned on, but even in the replays the puck looks big, (check out Yzerman's goal on the replay). Also, Pat Quinn looks like he's on steroids (lol) and body checks sound like a car accident. I wonder if Suchy could make an editor to change the ingame sounds? Overall though, the game looks really nice.

Ok, so what about NHL 2005?

The videos... well, very impressed with the atmosphere and the cut-scenes. Not that impressed by how the gameplay looks. Also didn't like to hear that they hadn't got any penalties for the picks.
they meant to say NOW instead of NOT... not sure about the picking.. depends on what level they tried to play the game.. because it clearly said in the openice video that youll get more penalties for picks...

I know, I know, I was just having a laugh at their spelling mistakes, 'cause they changed the meaning.

I also know what EA said about the picking, but it still worries me. Remember Game story 2?

1. Good

2. Yes, after about a day with the game we'll know the face-off options well enough to select it easily with six seconds before the face-off.

It was frustrating because I know where ground zero of where those rumors always started. If the sun shines, you can’t have hockey. I’m a little bitter about that. I’m tired of hearing about it." - Craig Leipold, Nashville Predators owner

hmm? I think the shadows look FANTASTIC (except for the fact that they put those stupid skate shadows, which are black instead of blue).. they have reduced the shadows from 4 to 2, but i don't think its that big of a deal.. honestly though they need to get some people who are experts at natural lighting, the lights on the players look really ugly, way too shiny (only from close up though, from far away it looks good)...

Shadows look fantastic? I don't think so. They are too obvious, their opacity is too high.

Look at the shadows on the ice there, I think the opacity is comparable.. the only thing is maybe the shadows look a little blue, but sometimes on TV thats how it looks (at least on HNIC)
