I dont really see the point in owning a team, I mean we're not 60 years old and dressed in a suit. Owning a team is for fat , suit wearing 60 year olds, and doesnt hurt to be bald. I think most here feels like playing hockey more then owning a hockey team.

Hey guys,
Heres my suggestions, More Cut shots, other than just the bench and the players. Its great to see the cuts shots, but it can get boaring after a while. They need to change it up a bit, by adding cut shots of a goalie lifiting up his mask to take a drink, a few shots of the GM and owners up in their press box watching the game (Ie Gretzky watching at the world cup), as well as some close ups of the fans, maybe standing up blowing a horn and cheering ect. Also if a player gets his helmet knocked off or stick knocked loose, have a cut shot of him going over and picking it up, or have teamates clean up some of the gear left on the ice after a fight. The idea being trying to capture the atmosphere as well as the game itself. As I said before the ability to import custom images for the boards, and other places would be awsome. I know EA can`t do it because of legal problems, but being able to import business logo's such as Mac Donalds, Burger King ect yourself as well as other local business and add them into the game along the boards would make the game feel a bit more reastic. On home games in between periods it would be cool to see some of the contests that you see in your budget (ie. shoot outs to win cars, vacations ect). It would give you somthing to watch in between periods, that might be kind of cool, maybe even being able to select the prizes. Another thought would be defently be changing the chemestry and minor league systems. I like the chemistry meter but just because you put a checker on with a scorer, or have all 3 forwards as scorers doesn`t mean that they can`t have great chemistry. EA needs to tweak this a bit. Also they need to have an actual farm team system. Just beacuse a player may not be dressed does not mean hes automaticly playing for the farm team. They need to have the farm teams seprate from the NHL teams, dressed or not dressed. Then if you want to pull up guys from the farm team you can still have them in the pros but still may not be dressed, just that they are avalible. Also they need to include the farm teams as well as the Minor teams from the WHL and OHL. It would be could to see where these guys are playing before you draft them. Also it would be cool for them to have an legends mode, where you can play as you favorite hockey stars of any erra, Gretzky, Bobbie Orr, Ray Bourqe, Apul Coffey, ect. Stars from any erra, all playing togeather, the idea of picking the ultimate hockey team would be kind of a cool challenge. And Last but not least, They need to have the ability to play in an outdoor hockey rink. This Game was created out doors, and with the first Out Door NHL game played a while back, they need to include this, as one of the choices when selecting an venue to play at, and to date I can`t think of 1 game that has had this option. Sorry for the long post, but these are a few of my suggestions for 2006. Thanks, soundguy_99 |

Cole that's a great idea and I'd love to see that in the next NHL game. It would rock hardcore!
and jc, i like your added ideas except for: Quote:
Or if you actually are to injured to play you should be able to give the players some hints like "hit him" or "pass" like you are calling from the bench or something. And it might have a bit of effect on the game... basically I think being able to at least watch the simulated game would be good if you want. Of course the option of watching it or simming it would be there. But yah... This. Idea. Rocks. ![]() |

Hey guys,
By the way, and I realize this is probably the wrong place to ask this, but is anyone having problems with their EA account, as far as posting in their NHL 2005 forums. I have been a long time member of the EA boards and have always been able to post in the past, but I noticed now, that I view the threads but cant create or reply to them. Me and EA have sent numerous e-mails back and forth, and they have always seem to dance around the problem, never really looking into it. I am curious if anyone here has had similar problems. Thanks, soundguy_99 |
