A lill NHL 2006 wishlist
SCREW THE EURO LEAGUES
Create a carrer mode.Play as yourself, create yourself, Start off as a 65 ranked rookie on hardest, 75 on medium, 85 on easy. And work yourself up to the NHL, starting in the minor league. You'll get drafted, traded ect. If you play bad you'll get sent to the minor team, or you'll get traded. Play in the world cup :). NHL Shop. 15 years carrer. Contract, practice ect. Get voted on to the all-star team, AHL and in the NHL ect. Lots of ideas for this mode, I'm telling ya. Anyone else got some ideas? __________________

Yes. A career mode would be the best possible feature to add, imo. I would also much rather have AHL & possibly ECHL than the Euros leagues. I would love tracking my own player from farm team days to (hopefully) a spot in the Hall of Fame.

I think you should be able to create yourself, and rate your own attributes. Plus the choice of your own equipment. Goalies get to design their own mask.
Depending on your age, you either get drafted, or have to attend an NHL training camp. If you're not old enough to be drafted at the start, the game sims ahead a certain amount of years until you can be drafted. For the draft, depending how you rated yourself, there's different cut-scenes on when you get drafted. You should also be able to choose when you want to retire. (up to the maximum age of 45). You could also sign in the Euro leagues in hope of getting better, or for what ever reason you don't feel like playing in the NHL. There's also the all-star game, team practices, world cup, world championships, Olympics. Plus a player crib, similar to ESPN's skybox. You could view your trophies, career stats, jerseys of teams you've played for, etc. In the Game On ice - When the coach yells for a line change, that is your signal to head off. Of course you don’t have to, but your player will become fatigued, and that will hurt your team. You can also play with no line changes, in which you can stay on the ice at all times. On bench – to get onto the bench from the ice, you have to press R2 (instead of the line change button). You also have to be close to the bench door when you press it. Your player will then go onto the bench. The bench will also slide down as well. When the coach sends your line out, it will automatically send you out (over the boards). If you try to get onto the bench when your suppose to be on the ice, it shouldn’t let you onto the bench. When you get injured, it will have the cut-scene, and you will go into the locker room. The game will still finish, but it will send you back to the main menu with the final score. When you are injured, you will have to simulate the games because you are not in the line-up. Your injury frequency depends on your attributes. The coach will always dress the best lines. If your not good enough to dress.... - If you have a 2-way contract, you can be sent down. - If you have a one way contract you can be sent down, but you have the chance to be claimed on waivers. You'll most likely be scratched though. Camera On bench - 1st person. You can move your ahead around and look at whatever you please. This also applies to the penalty box. On Ice - 3rd person view. You can still change the camera views currently in the game. You also get the option to have the camera centered on your player or the puck. At the pause menu screen, you can view and use everything there is now, except the team options. (you can’t choose when to change the goalie or pull him). At the main Dynasty menus, you can view everything, but can't do any of the things the coach or GM do (obviously). You can still change the rules, sliders, sound options, etc. Contracts When your contract is up, your team can make you offers and vice versa. They can also put deadlines on their offers to you, so if you don’t accept by a certain day, the offer will be taken off the table (You pretty much act as your own agent). Unrestricted Free Agent (UFA) - During the off-season, you can make any team an offer, and vice versa. Restricted Free Agent (RFA) - Same as when your contract is up, but your team can choose to not qualify you, then you become an Unrestricted Free Agent. Other teams can make you an offer, but your team also has the right to match it. You can also request a trade at any time, and they will try their best to trade your. You will be benched after requesting a trade because you no longer want to play for them. A trade involving you should happen anywhere from a week, to a month time (depends on your contract). Trades involving you without requesting a trade should be rare. Most people don’t want to be juggled around the league. You can also request a “no trade” clause in your contract. Most teams will be unwilling to do this, unless your player is highly skilled, AND is not asking for much money |
