Before NHL 2004, I used Blomman's Editor, now it's NHL VIEW, an excellent utility made by Suchy. You can use these editors to create players. If, by chance NHL VIEW 2005 doesn't have a create feature, then I will simply do as I've done before.
I take an insignificant player, usually found in Free Trades or may be a Hidden player - someone who isn't playing in the game, and I'll overwrite him -- replace his first and last name with mine.. play-by-play value, my birthday, city, and the whole attributes - I shoot right, don't wear a visor, and modify all the attributes. Save the changes, and then I have my player ready to go. But I have asked and received my personal cyberface as well, by asking various people in cyberface world. Usually one or two will kindly make your personal cyberface if you ask nice enough. I now have the knowledge to try to make one myself. In fact I have made a couple for '04, and they're not bad if I do say so myself. I'm going to make my own cyber face this year for NHL 2005. In NHL VIEW, I can find my player and assign him with the cyberface. So for the PC, if anybody wants their personal player on the ice, I say it'll happen. And for those non-believers, I'll gladly send you a game pic of me, my cyber, my jersey#, etc in NHL 2005! I'll gladly help anyone get their player on the ice this year. __________________

Thanks for the quick replies guys. Fredd's tutorial doesn't look easy, but I'll give it a try.

Yes, I fully realize we're at the mercy of Suchy, I'm the first to admit it. I'm also fully aware that there are more attributes to modify this year, as you say, meaning last year's NHL VIEW won't be enough. In fact, I'm more aware of everything than anybody realizes. All I'm saying is if there is another editor, if Suchy releases another one then yes, we can create our players, and modify existing players ratings, as years before. If not, then whatever, I will be still buying this excellent game. I think we should send Suchy some $$ for his troubles, or something more than just a "thanks".. but nobody seems to want to do that. Anyways, NHL 2005 is gonna be fantastic, one way or the other!!! ![]() __________________

I'm all for starting a money pot for suchy. Drezz has done amazing things as well for this community, along with Danne, and the rest of the PNHL crew, BUT let's face it, almost all of our enjoyment with this game last year began and ended with the fact NHLView could undoo EA's rediculous ratings. That'll be more important than EVER this year and honestly the only thing I can see about starting a pot for the SuchyMeister is how would it be implemented and through where?? I'd rather just pay him a set fee for it. Face it if you use the thing ANYWHERE as much as I do then paying say $20 for something that's gonna allow accurate rookies to be implemented in the game, ourselves to be implemented, as well as custom leagues this season, and of course fixing stuff like Eric Lindros being rated higher than Marcus Naslund and Brad Richards is just the kicker. Over the long haul that's a small amount to fix so many things...........But then he'd have to add security which would push the release back 6 months and then it'd be a moot point. Even if his hardcore members at his board all chipped in say $10 bucks each it'd make a hell of an incentive program for him to add a couple hundrred bucks into his pocket for something he does for free. REgardless I'll be sending him something this year from my own personal perspective cause View rocks, and the guy's worth it in my estimation.............If everyone knew how truly busy he really is and how he still donates an additonal 20-30 hours a week tinkering with the thing for us, everyone would send him something..........
