ok, so i like using the right analog for shooting. i despised however passing with the right trigger so i changed to classic settings for a bit. what am i treated with when i do that...? Guess what.

When you switch to classic controls you get all the classic controls (A for pass, B for slapshot, Y for check, etc), but you ALSO get to still use the right analog for deking, shooting, and checking! Its the best of both worlds! So now i can pass with the "A" button, and still use the new Next-gen shooting controls! Anyone else notice this?

yup, Im using the same too,, much more fun this way i think, cause i hate the trigger button for pass as well,,, also this way it is a bit easier to set up onetimers :)

yeah. the trigger was just weird for passing/switching players on defense. since i play madden all the time im so used to just hitting "A" to switch players. this helped alot.

where can you switch controls to classic mode?

Settings---> Controller Settings

where you see the controller and all the functions,, change 'default' to 'classic'

I think we missunderstood eachother,,,
me and falcon were talkin about the Xbox360 version.
Sorry, I dont know if such option is available/possible for PC/PS2 . Anyone? Anyone ? Bueller, Bueller? Anyone??

if that is the case, this thread is in the wrong forum as there is a specific forum for the Next Gen game.

sorry, i didnt know they split up the forum. all summer this has been the only nhl07 board, now it looks as if they split it up into next gen (the real nhl07) and current gen ($30 roster update that only fools buy).
