Ottawa Senators NHL 07 Dynasty

Hello all
This is an Ottawa senators Dynasty that I will be playing and updating here. I will have a site soon at Dynasty.Adferonetwork.com (It will be a real site not some stupid freewebs site) Anyways...

This Dynasty will include the Schedule, Stats, Transactiosn and all that good stuff. Might get pics. Depends. I will play liek 3-5 games a week and update on weekends.

Tell me if you're interested guys.

Heres an update from the Pre Season TSN Interviewers.

We have an update from TSN

Quote:
TSN Reporter says:

So with the season about to start in 2 days. We have been trying to contact as many players as we could and talk to them about the upcoming 06-07 season. We manager to get an interview with The Ottawa Senators very own Mike Fisher

So Mike, I heard that you're going to be the Senators next Assistant Captain. Is this correct?

Yea well, You know, Bryan thought I did very well last year, I gave it my all, and I think I really contributed the team. I hope that with this A on my jersey and the responsibilities that come with it, I'll be able to inspire my team mates and help the guys out more this season than I ever have.

That's great. Also. You'll be paired up with Eaves and Peter Schaffer, what do you think of these team mates.

Well. Pete and I are very close friends. He's an amazign skater. It's phenominal off and on the ice. He always plays his heart out in every game and it shows.

As for Eaves. I havn't gotten to know him personally. But Last year when he replaced me when I sprained my left shoulder, he did great. I can't think of anyone else that could have done a better job.

I really look forward to playing with these players. And I hope we excel past everyones expectations.

Thanks a lot Mike. Sadly that's all the time we have. We have to get to other people to interview for out show. I hope we can speak more later.

Best of luck in the season.

Thanks a lot Jon.

This is Jon Micheals, TSN Kanata.

I would love to see some dynasty story threads that'd be great. My other wishlist is caps (attributes and bio) if anyone can contribute.

Ottawa Senators NHL 07 Xbox 360 Dynasty

Game 1. At Toronto

After an odd pre season for the Senators, trading Martin Havlat, Brian Smolinski and letting go of Zdeno Chara it seems that the Senators were all scattered around and it was unsure if they would recouperate and still be one of the most balanced teams in the NHL.

What better way to find out than the Battle of Ontario. They will be meating Toronto 4 times this month. The players stepped onto the ice and the fans went wild. They gave Toronto a standing ovation when they stepped out on the ice and they boo’d when the Senators stepped on. Finally after the fans stopped yelling and screaming they sang the Canadian National anthem. And they were off…

1st period.

The Sens were off to a slow start. Their first shot was accidental and ended up being an icing call. They then took a bad penalty off the draw and Spezza was put into the sin bin for 2 minutes. Hooking.

The senators couldn’t clear the puck on the PK. Martin Gerber had to make many nice saves to keep the game 0-0.

Then Spezza got out of the box just as Alfy cleared it and he had a . Deked left. Toe draged. Brought it to the right and shot but Raycroft was there blocked the path. Amazing save.

They took the faceoff. Toronto won it. Ottawa stole it and passed it to redden at the point. Darcy Tucker charged Redden but he messed up and Redden Hip checked him, Tucker sprawled to the ice and was on the ice for a while. He has an injury, no news on it yet though. Details would come later said his personal trainer.

Minutes later Ottawa took another bad penalty. This time they dominated. They didn’t let Toronto get a single shot. They even got 2 breaks and 1 slapper from the point off.

Period ended 0-0 shots 13- 8

After the period, reporter Jay Nomano got to speak with Jason Spezza

So Jason, you took a pretty bad hooking call in the first. Do you think this affected you’re teams morale in the first period.

Well, I guess you could say that, but I mean, it wasn’t on purpose, I was trying to raise my stick over his head to get to the other side but I snagged his jersey and it got caught. It sounds really stupid but If you watch the replay you’ll know what I mean.

But the team seem affected by it. We started playing sloppy hockey and our passes just couldn’t connect. We couldn’t even shoot. Everything we threw at them the defenders blocked. We would have had 15 shots if it wernt for the shot blocked.

At the end of the period we started playing better though. Especially after the other penalty. So hopefully it carries to the next one.

Okay thanks Jason, Good luck next period.

2nd Period

They stepped back onto the ice with the fans cheering GO LEAFS GO BLOW SENS BLOW. The senators won the draw but the pass was intercepted right away for a . Gerber made a nice save on Sundins snapshot to the corner. He held it.

Things were looking the same. Ottawa got another penalty. This time Mike fisher for Holding.

The leafs were cycling it and Alfredsson decided to take action. He slammed the pedal to the metal and sped toward the point intercepting a pass and was on a 1-1. He did a deke to the right then put it behind the defenseman’s back. He was far from the goalie but it was a PK so he took a slap shot to the five hole. The goalie went to the side and made a pad save but it slid off the pad and trickled in. GOAL.

On their 14th shot they managed to put it into the back of the net.

Alfredsson, Unassisted. 9:21, Shorthanded.

This goal was a low blow to Toronto and it drew a penalty 1 minute after. Ottawa’s first Powerplay. Ottawa couldn’t capitalize on the PP. They got 2 shots on the power play. Then Toronto turned on the afterburners. They shot 8 shots without the senators getting one on goal. Then Ottawa had 2 promising odd man rushes but Raycroft shut them down.

Period 2, 1-0 Senators. Shots 26-16 for Toronto.

3rd period

Could Gerber get his shutout? Nope

2:11 into the period Redden had the puck at our blueline, he got poke checked by Sundin and Sundin was on a . He deke left then right and put one through Gerbers five hole.

Goal, Mats Sundin, Assisted by: Ponikarovsky and Mccabe.

In 4 minutes Ottawa came back. Mike fisher was against 2 D men and he decided to use a spin o rama. He deke one of the denfenders so it was one on one. He faked slapped. He put the other D onto his back to block the shot then he ripped one bottom right. 2-1

Goal. Mike fisher, 6:43, Assisted by Mezaros and Eaves.

With 10 minutes remaining the leafs played their guts out. They took so many shots on Gerber. Gerber was saving pucks left and right. I think he got the most exercise of the whole team. Sundin had a couple opportunities on but Gerber was there to shut him out.

With 2 minutes left the Senators took a time out. The pressure was just too much.

With 30 seconds left the leafs pulled their goalie for the extra man but to no avail. They knocked one off the crossbar at 9.1 seconds left in the game but then it was dumped out of the zone and game over.

Final score 2-1 Ottawa Senators. Shots 43-23 For the Toronto Maple
leafs.

3 Stars of the Game

1st star Martin Gerber with 42 saves and 1 goal against

2nd star Mike Fisher with 1 goal

3rd star Andrej Meszaros with 2 assists

Jay Nonamo got the chance to speak with Sundin on his way out.

So Mats. You have at least 3 this game, you must be shooting yourself in the ass aren’t you?

Yea, I find out team played a solid game today, if I had just gotten one of those in, especially the one of the post, then it would have went into overtime and at least gotten us one post. Oh well, what can you do, we dominated them but they had the wrists to put it into the mesh.

Yea I understand. What will you do for tomorrows game against the Senators.

Well, we’ll play the same game we played today and analyze some things about Gerber and find a way to beat him.

Okay Mats, Good luck tomorrow.

Thanks Jay.

Tucker Injury Update

He is out with a "Hip pointer" Till November 23rd. He will miss 3 Senators games.
