I believe going down is linked to one of the bumpers.

didn't see the option to turn off. Then again i would never want to turn it off since it helps as a guide when you initiate the pattern.

Metal - i know you said you can't speak about the create a play feature but seeing how gamespot just released a video explaining the whole thing can you comment on the truth of whether the create a play feature will be possible during ONLINE games? The video said it would be but I remember them saying no before (EA).

BTW - THANK YOU for the help!

Re: News - EA Community Day 2007

I can't wait to play actual defense again. The last time defense was any good for the player was NHL 04 I think. The one with the obnoxious hooking. My friends used to get so mad at me when I would just shut them down on D and win 1-0.

Metal - this might sound crazy - but it's a big deal for me. I know you confirmed above that you can indeed do the sweeping motion on defense to poke check however technically you could do this in NHL 07. I need to know if you can still control where the defender is skating WHILE doing the sweeping poke check (something that you couldn't do in 07 - the defenseman would just glide out of the play)

Maybe if you can ask your EA guys if you don't remember? Really appreciate it - thank you!
