Ok, apparently they took out the fantasy draft that is not cool... put it back.
How about having some upcoming rookies in the game, I mean I played the 08 season and I didn't even have Johnathan Toews or Patrick Kane on Chicago like common...
Allow us to do a more than one team dynasty, if not make the season go more than 1, allow there to be a draft and free agent period.

There is this one goal that is redic and it happens all the time. The opponent will have the puck on his stick with his back to the net, and will swing his stick around and put it top shelf without even moving its a lil redic.

besides that the game is pretty good...

EA and 2k can not add any players that haven't played a NHL game

I would like to see NHL go the way of classic teams. Who wouldn't want to use the '84 Oilers with Gretzky, Messier, Lowe, Fuhr, Moog, Coffey, and Kuri.

Toss in classic jerseys (including the Hartford Whalers greens).....

One thing I think would be neat is to have classic teams and have the ability to play a season with just classic teams. For example, the season would be made up of all the best classic teams including the old division format:

Quebec Nordiques (pick a year)
'86 Canadiens (of course there are a ton of Habs teams to pick from)
Hartford Whalers
Colorado Rockies
Atlanta Flames
Winnipeg Jets
'93 LA Kings
'84 Oilers (or any of the 80s teams)
'82 Islanders (again, a number to choose from)
'97 Wings
Minnesota North Stars
'92 Penguins
Washington Caps
Boston Bruins
'94 Canucks
etc. etc. etc.

Also, I would like to see classic goalie masks with the ability to customize. Back in the 80s, the old "Jason" masks had skeleton faces and other designs painted on them...

- less one timers goals (more than 60% of the CPU goals are one timers)

- a "pressure" button where we can hold or poke check the opponent so he loose control of the puck, you could press the button and the RS at the right time and direction to make a sucesseful hold or poke check. i know that there's a poke check button in the game but it's just ridiculous to take the puck away from the attacker. the only sucesseful way to take the puck from a player in NHL08 is to check him, and that's not what happens in REAL hockey

- fantasy draft, season and playoff mode (those will be in the game for sure!))

- single player carrer, where you could create your player and be hired by a team to play, you play as a fixed player (like BMcKenzie911 said)

I also think that if NHL 09 goes classic, I would like to see Gretzky, Lemieux or Gordy Howe.

Hopefully, NHL 09 has classic teams. I would also like to see EA cough up some money so the Hartford Whalers uniforms could be represented....
