Czerkawski
I'm wondering about some news from Long Island about Czerkawski... are there any rumors about signing him for next season (if there will be next season...) ???

I think Czerkawski should stay with the Islanders at least another season.
But on another note... Kinda weird the Isles forum is still here... like i thought it was Kevin Shultze (bad spelling) who is the webmaster for GoIsles. and i dont think he is around anymore? Well, who knows maybe he's just takin time off? |

Marre is the man! One of few former Djurgården players I like. :)

After last season Devils and Colorado wanted to sign him.He decided to go back to Sweden (for one year contract),when he was playin' in early '90.Hopefully if 2005/2006 NHL season start,he will be scoring goals for New Jersey. It's good team for him,'cos he's a pure scorer and in Isles he also got some defensive duties.Devils got better defence so he can focus on scoring.Just my thoughts.

I think czerk was a perfect fit for the isles... He was doing awesome until stirling started playing head games with him. And he even improved his defensive side, and was among the isles leaders in +/-... it is just so weird how he gets in the doghouse so quickly. He is scoring 10 goals in first 15 games then all of a sudden the coach hates him. Anyway, it would kill me to see him in the atlantic division if not an islander, but at least he would still be in the NHL. He was on fire with his team in sweden in the beginning of the season this year, but like always he has cooled down. __________________

Well yashin IS better no denying that haha. Funny, YAshin also was having a good year until he got injured... then he came back from injury and obviously was rusty and the coach benched him. The losing streak was because of the Weimer trade, not because of any players not trying. But yeah. yashin is one of the best defensive forwards in the game, VERY underrated in that category. __________________
