Red face Sorry Vancouver Fans...

Naslund to adorn EA Sports' NHL 2005

So uhhh... any bets on what's going to happen to Nassy? Car crash? Torn ACL while fishing? Impregnated by aliens?

BTW, who was the last non-Canadian player on the cover? Selanne?

Dany Heatley was born in germany so he was technically a non-canadian, but other than that it was Iginla, Lemiuex, Nolan, Pronger, Lindros, Forsberg

Forsberg was the last non canadian on the cover, and to my knowledge Selanne has never been on the cover.

I'm guessing you only count North Americans covers as Markus Näslund was the coverboy for NHL 2000 here in Sweden. Think Saku Koivu was the player on the cover in Finland that year.

Nothing happened to Näslund that season though. Maybe it was delayed because he broke his leg the next season with about 10 games left, when he was on a hot streak and had a chance on 50 goals. ;)

Was wrong about Saku, he was the coverboy of NHL 2003 in Finland (not NHL 2000):

I thought this thread was going to be about the Canucks making a qualifying offer to Cloutier.

Last time Naslund was on the cover (2000 in Sweden, as mentioned), he broke his leg near the end of the season, Vancouver won 2 of its last 17 games, and was swept in the first round.

So it bodes well for this year. :D :(

It was the 2000/2001 season he broke his leg.
