New Switch Lite owner, got a rookie question lol

Sup everyone,

I recently bought a switch lite again got some free time now. I have a question about import games.

I know the Switch is region free.

Now, If I were to use an ASIA or JPN import cartridge, would I be able to play online with the same Nintendo ID [US] ?

Same question goes for downloading DLC, would there be any issues with that? Can I download DLC from the US eShop without issue?

I do believe you can. If you can't then there is an option on your nintendo account to switch the country selection.

It should work just fine, just create a new Switch account for the region of the cart.
