  • Twilight Zone 2002 version is the best version of the TZ I don't give a sh#t about the black and white ones but I give credit obviously to Rod Serling for creating the show
  • The best days of gaming are over and never coming back it's all down hill from here greed and corporate fanboys won
  • Today's music is trash all of it 70's 80's 90's and even a little of early 00's was the last time music felt real for the most part even underground music now is shit
  • Assault on Precinct 13 2005 is a damn good movie Laurence Fishburne plays a great villain
  • The Thing 2011 is a good remake TBH 1982 version is only slightly better because of Kurt Russell and practical effects
  • The Meg 2018 is the best shark movie ever made Jaws may be iconic but I don't care
  • Life is overrated death will probably be better we will just have to wait and see

  • Nothing and no one really matters. Just about all of us will be forgotten within three generations, and only the memorable ones are remembered in specific contexts. Calm down, don't be so angry and petty, and have some fun.
  • Religion is a social virus.
  • Optimistic Nihilism is the best path in life. Nothing matters, stop pretending things do, and just abide by the Golden Rule (do what you want provided it doesn't hurt anyone, in essence).

  • Socialism is a great idea, and the key to living in a "post-scarcity" world. There is more than enough food, water, space, and wealth for everyone to not just survive, but to thrive and prosper and live comfortably.
  • Spending money on Mars colonization is a waste of time and money. We should be focusing on harvesting asteroids. There's literally quadrillion's upon quadrillions of dollars worth of precious minerals. Harvest asteroids, build low-orbit zero-G factories...make life on earth an eden by polluting space.

The Last Jedi is the best Star Wars movie outside the OT. Fight me.

Richard Nixon was a pretty good president. Terrible person, but the things his administration prioritized made a lot of sense. And he was the last fiscally respondsible Rebublican.

I for one am happy to see Nvidia release a desktop RTX 3050, even if it is overpriced and consumes too much power. At least they haven't completely abandoned th low end.

Oh boy. As a self-described misanthrope and "Radical... ...something - not sure or care what," I have plenty of wild and some might say unorthodox opinions. Here's ten off the top of my head, covering a wide range of topics close to my heart:

  • Humans should not be allowed to govern themselves.
  • On that note, I am semi-unironically pro-Skynet.
  • Every narcotic drug should be legalised.
  • F*** nature. Anyone who idolises and fetishises "nature" should be mocked and laughed at. Nature is the realm of tongue-eating parasites, lions murdering cubs so he can bone their mother, turtle hatchlings that have a 1/1,000 survival rate, and octopuses that get brain damage if it tries to swallow something too big. Nature is cruel, callous, inefficient and stupid. Humanity should only care about nature when it pertains to their advancement, so that they may one day supersede it.
  • I am an "apathetic agnostic." The short version is "don't know, don't care." The slightly longer version is that I think the question of "does God exist" is actually two questions, dealing with two very different concepts which Zoroastrianism and its mutant descendants have unwisely smashed together, and my answers to those two questions is the short version.
  • The Universe does not give a shit about us - and that is the best thing humanity should ever hear.
  • Only the weak and the unimaginative needs a purpose in life. The strong and the creative can forge their own. Nihilism is useful for clearing the canvas, but one should never dwell on it.
  • Independence Day (1996) is the greatest movie ever made.
  • I was "Wenger Out" since around the time between when Henry and Fabregas left, and stuck to my guns for so long I forgot when I solidified my position. Many of my fellow Arsenal fans have since bleated about "Wenger In." I say what has happened since proved we should have gotten rid of him sooner and brought in someone like Kloppo or Cholo Simeone. Nothing personally against Wenger; I just foresaw where he was leading the club.
  • Astartes in general suck. The malign influence of He Who Shall Not Be Named was merely the eventuality of their pre-existing Mary Sue-ishness. 90% of the things that make them interesting are centred around the Primarchs, AKA the tale of the Galaxy's Worst Dad and his 18 misfit children. "Female Astartes" already exist: they're called the Adepta Sororitas, and they are way cooler than their male counterparts.

In my opinion,

"Self-made" instagram "influencers/entrepreneurs" that quit their 9 to 5 jobs while demonizing their old bosses are just as bad if not worse than said bosses. What most won't tell you is they avoid paying those whom they involve in their collaborations. They will use the talents for their own personal gains yet the only payment they'll convince the naive is "exposure is worth more than money."

So much for supporting better living wages.

Paul Thomas Anderson blew everything Roger Deakins has worked on in the last decade out of the water with Phantom Thread. Really don't get why Deakins is considered the hot shit at present.

2 Fast 2 Furious is the worst movie in the franchise. I don’t like watching it and I don’t understand why some people seem to love it. I skip it and Tokyo Drift and I’m not sorry.

Like Revenge Of The Sith. Think it's pretty dope.

Like Mandalorian, but kinda think it's overrated. The animated stuff is actually way better and has been for years. Just doesn't get credit because it's animated.

Hitler wasn't all bad, liked dogs.

People in general are cruel. Family here and there and still don’t bother with me much and a few friends that care a whole lot more than family, but by a fraction. Lonely and scared,it’s my belief in Jesus that gets me through my day. Video games and music do the rest. Never had a gf because of my lack of confidence and my sexual awkwardness, I only have feelings for women in their 40’s to 70’s,I’ve been into mature women for years and years,no interest into young women. I’m uneducated and kinda dense, never wanted to be in school, just wanted to work and make a weekly pay, guessing I’m paying for it now?

Well, this is something that's been on my mind lately. This is subjective of course, but thought I'd add it here anyway.

Suffering from mental health issues for most of my life, I think as a young adult I've realised that most people don't care about you and your problems. It's part of the reason why my handful of run-ins with therapy in particular has never seemed to really work nor have a stuck with it long-term. At the end of the day, we just have to get through life one day at a time. As long as family and close friends are there for you, that's all that matters for the most part.

@speeny: I feel you, I have schizophrenia since I was 19 and had a few friends/family members have/had it. A few friends have died, self inflicted deaths, some drug overdoses. I’m happy to read that you have family and friends for support. I’m struggling with day to day living, barely family talks to me,my parents passed away and I have a few friends that are around. I live alone, always feeling like I’ve done something wrong. Jesus,vg,music and hope for a brighter future is keeping going. Believing for a brighter life after this one, give’s me purpose to go on. Don’t give up,God’s love is there for you.

Thanks for that. I wish you all the best. This pandemic definitely doesn't help with things though.

We are sooooo close, yet so far apart on this. "Nothing matters" in that you probably won't be recorded in history even accomplishing that isn't really something worth striving for. But in that "nothing matters" space there's room to come to the conclusion that "everything matters." You can make a thousand sizable impacts on other peoples' lives in ways that matter to them by bringing them joy or easing their suffering, and I think that's worth striving for.

As for other unpopular opinions, I think that most art has something redeemable in it, and we spend too much time criticizing the bad and overlooking the good. I used to be great at the inverse but noticed cynicism sneaking into my viewpoint more and more, and I've been trying to correct it. And everything is just much more fun even though I still acknowledge, for example, that you should never pronounce "Sonnets" as "Sornets" to make it rhyme with "Hornets". You just shouldn't let that line ruin the great couplet in the next verse for you.

Jimmy Carter is among the best people that the US ever had as president. If Nixon is among the worst people who made one of the best presidents, Carter is his antithesis.

Experimental sounds in songs are wonderful. You want to bust out a typewriter for the bridge? Give it a shot. You want to incorporate a a wind chime into your album? At least it won't be boring! How about a set of bongos? Some maracas? Or maybe all four?! Hell, it might wind up among my favorite songs (spoiler: one of my favorite songs does in fact have all of these things).

Yes, exactly! You get it. Nothing matters and everything matters haha! That's exactly what I am going for. Contradiction? Yes! But somehow true as well 🤣

I tend to be a traditionalist when it comes to the roles and distinctions of men and women in society, and oppose the obfuscation of this distinction in the striving for “equality“. Men and women are fundamentally different, even if residing within a gradient.
