contacts 1000% way more convenient, comfortable (imo) and more natural feeling. saying this having worn contacts daily for 30+ years.

I think people who prefer contacts have some weird hatred of themselves and comfort.

I have both, but mostly wear glasses. I'm just so used to them at this point that it feels weird when there's nothing on my face. Like I walked out of the house with no pants on, or something.

I wear neither, but in terms of preference on others it depends. Some people can wear glasses well like some can rock baldness well, and some chicks look mind-blowingly hot with glasses.

Both. But, I'm wearing glasses nearly 24/7. I now save the contacts for when I'm going somewhere like a theme park or out to eat or the beach (especially at night), if I need to speak or present, or I am going to be physically active.

I only wear contact lenses when outside. For aesthetic and practical reasons.

There are two downsides though. You can't sleep with them (well you can but it's discouraged). They're also extremely inconvenient when you go for a swim.

I used to be able to wear contacts, but for whatever reason I haven't been able to find a brand that doesn't dry out my eyes or make me feel that they're there. It's really weird because I got the same brand I used when I was in my early twenties. So, to answer the question, I prefer contacts over glasses. However, because I can't really wear them anymore, glasses it is. I've contemplated Lasik, but the potential side effects has really deterred me.

Neither. I had the lasers installed 6 years ago.

But before that, glasses for the most part. I didn't get glasses until I was in my 20s even though I probably could have used them earlier. I didn't do contacts when I was young and getting into them as an adult I never got completely used to them. I could wear them but sometimes after a while they'd irritate my eyes, or my eyes would dry out and one would pop off when I blinked randomly, etc. I liked getting different styles of frames and having fun with that aspect of glasses.

I actually kind of miss glasses, but I really don't miss needing glasses if that makes any sense.

@byshop: I'll probably go w/ lasers in a few years. How was the procedure in your experience?

Good overall, but the procedure I went for was PRK vs Lasik which has a longer recovery time but was recommended for my particular stigmatism and activity level (contact sports). The end result was great but it took a couple months to fully heal which is normal for PRK. Definitely an uncomfortable first few days but pretty minor as far as medical procedures go. They give you a valium going in so you're relaxed. End result was pretty much 20/20 vision, although in the 6 years since I think it's slid a bit but nowhere near the point of needing correction again. I have some prescription glasses with blue light blocking for eye strain but I'm only off like half a diopter in one eye.

Glasses. As a person of color, not once since getting my glasses has a white person ran away from me like their life depended on it for simply asking if they could tell me what time it was. Glasses 100%.

Most people just do Lasik which I heard is much easier so my experience is probably not indicative of the average.

Have been wearing contact lenses for two days now. Not at home, not for general errands. Getting them out is hard. No idea how Aron Ralston did it with one hand.

Glasses, I never wanted contacts cause of my eyes get dried plus I would probably lose the contacts and don't like putting stuff inside my eyes.

I am fortunate enough not to need any vision aid (*yet*).

I'd go for glasses.

Even tho I am sure I'd be annoyed by the peripheral vision and having glasses on my face, I really don't like messing with my eye balls.

Glasses, contacts when I was in high school and college but got tired of crawling around on the floor looking for them everytime they popped out. Also glasses make me look more extinguished.

I would wear glasses. The thought of putting contacts on my eyes creeps me out.
