Not a big fruit-pie fan, I like custards. So:
A not-too-sweet Coconut Cream Pie is probably my favorite
A nice Banana Cream Pie is good, too, especially with a nut- or Nilla Wafer-crust
If it is not too over-spiced (I use the recipe on the can, but halve the spices), a pumpkin pie is tough to beat, too.
I do like some fruit pies. I'm a sucker for just about any berry or stone fruit pie, like Cherry, Blueberry, Raspberry, Peach, etc.
Also, shout-out to Cobblers, Buckles, and Crisps! They are close family members to the pie!
Chocolate, cause im a fat ass and aint with the fruit pies LOL

Pie here in Australia would mean a hot (heated in a oven) pie with beef or chicken inside and or some vegetables, do you guys in the US have these?

Ooh that looks good! We have lots of pies and stuff where I was born. I was born in the pie center of my country. As a result I've grown up with several types of pie. But I haven't heard of your pie of choice, so I will try it soon. If I can't find one, I can make one myself ^_^ I also think the American pies I find online are looking pretty good. Although many I find online consist basically of only one layer and that looks like it would taste a little boring? I know that lemon pies are really nice so I should try some! I wonder if kisch is considered to be a pie? My friend's mother makes a wonderful kisch. Kind of like the first pic. And I wonder if kisch is considered a pie in the USA, if frittata is also considered a pie? I don't think people where I live consider them pies.
The relentless struggle between me and images in between text. I gave up today as I am tired and I put the text in the captions, but next time I will not give up so easily.
I learned it matters a lot where the pies are made. My mother likes gooseberry pie but only the ones made where we lived. Anywhere else she tried gooseberry pies she didn't like them at all. Different pie-making habits per area.

Like the one Margo Martindale had on Dexter? Yum!
I'm not a big pie guy but I had a steak and ale pie when I was in London that was really good.
