Sold a bunch of stuff and got this stuff instead...
Naturally, I've been reading my ass off! Should keep me busy while I start saving for a PS5 or something.
How about you? Any recent purchases?
Ooop, I forgot one.

I got Streets of Rage 4 + DLC. Aside from that, I bought a Starbucks iced coffee that was vanilla flavoured.
Recently got the urge to play an old AC game to get me prepped for mirage. Went with AC 3 haven't played it as much as the others.
I ordered the Xenoblade Chronicles games, Pikmin games, and a couple of Final Fantasy games. With that there are roughly 5 other physical Switch games I'd like to pick up that are on the market, not counting the upcoming Super Mario Wonder, Super Mario RPG and Baten Kaitos 1 & 2... Which I will likely have to purchase the European version of.
I'm looking forward to being caught up on my collection.
Clothes.
Nothing special, I've just lost a lot of weight, and I was wearing my old clothes one day and saw myself in the reflection and realized it looked like I was wearing tents. Amazing what happens when you lose 230 lb.
Probably give away my old clothes. Or burn them in celebration, maybe make an obese effigy out of them 😋
@mrbojangles25: Holy shit! Congrats man.
Edit: Almost forgot. Came here to say I got an RX 6600. Probably doesn't sound like much to most of you, but it's replacing a GTX 1650. Came with a code for Starfield, though not sure how well it will run on that.
Amazing what happens when you lose 230 lb.
Congrats! What's your secret? Its not the sauce, is it?

Hey thanks :D
Just had a serious talk with myself and told myself I don't have a choice. Also got some more opinions from doctors specialized in fields that maybe new more than my general doctor did. No shade at him or anything, but he isn't a specialist.
I got a PS5 last month and love it so far. Just need some quality PS5 games with it. Ghost of Tsushima is okay.
@mrbojangles25: that's one serious display of character and determination to achieve that. respect man
Thanks! I had a lot of help 😊
@mrbojangles25: That's a lot of KG's...
Yeah it's a shame it got that high to begin with. I try not to dwell on it though. Onward and upward .
Don't get obese folks! Lizzo might make it look fun but apparently she copes with it by being a colossal jerk😋
@sfaf123: wow all the effort it take for "fanqiang" and you waste it by posting shit here. Why don't you use the time to read a risk assessment of the water release and compare it to the daily operations of a Chinese plant ?
By the way, no one believes you are from the Philippines.

Congratulations. You lost my full bodyweight and more. Which dark magic rituals did you perform?

I ran over a gypsy.
@DEVILinIRON: That's a solid haul. A good chunk of the 1st Moon Knight run, the 1st Ghost Rider run, Thanos Quest and two of my favorite Daredevil storylines in Born Again and Typhoid Mary. Y the Last Man I took a chance on at the library having no idea what it was a few years ago. Glad I did. I haven't read Morrison's Animal Man yet, but it is on my list. Supposed to be some of his best work. That Question omni has me just a little bit jealous.
Was blablaing about puter' chair in the other thread.
Thus far very happy with it. Due to cheaper parts it might ultimately fall apart down the line, but as far as comfort go and putting it together with no fuss, been all good.
Might purchase the upgradable metal arm-rests and perhaps an extra bit of padding on the rear.
Been picking up some Xbox one games I missed out on last gen. Picked up red faction guerrilla remastered, cloud punk and samurai shodown.
picked up an s23 ultra. got a mate who can get phones for cheap. haven't upgraded my phone in like 5 years. got to be honest, apart from better screen, speaker and camera it feels exactly the same as my previous s9 edge. and the preloaded theme is dog shit. you see it on display in a phone shop with these incredible looking themes but they dont come with the phone, and the samsung theme store is a shit show with all sorts of cheap looking crap from third party "creators" 👎
@dariency: first drone for me. i've been considering it for a while looking at the mini 3 pro for like a year. finally just said f-it and pulled the trigger :)
I love me some vintage electronics, so I recently bought a laserdisc player and a couple of laserdiscs from ebay.
That's awesome.
I'll never forget when I saw Star Wars on my neighbors laserdisc with his THX surround sound setup. One of my fondest cinema/movie-watching moments. Guy was like my uncle, a family friend, just sort of put me in the den with his awesome setup and let me watch the movies haha.
As for the discs themselves, I love how huge they were. Or at least I remember them being huge, like record-size but optical disc instead of vinyl.
After a violent bicycle crash (because of a driver cutting me off on my way home from work) that left my face scarred six months ago and costed thousands of dollars in medical bills that the taxpayers ended up paying, I started recording my rides with a GoPro. I got a chest mount for it two weeks ago, to reduce the strobing effect with lights when riding in the night with the camera mounted to the handlebar.
The build quality of the camera is poor. Fell only once (two feet) and could no longer record. Even though it's advertised as an action camera for intense activity, their warranty does not cover any accidents. My brother was able to open it by applying heat to the glue (since modern devices are not made to be easily self-serviceable) and we found that a heat sink had come loose with the fall. It banged around in there during rides (Roads in this country are terrible. Full of bumps, cracks and holes.), causing the recordings to stop. There was nothing holding the heat sink down, so I stuffed a piece of styrofoam in there before sealing it with cell phone glue.
Today I got Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, the Diskothek Blu-ray.
We watched the show all the time from about 1995 to '97. It's in 480i, but has fifty episodes on one disc (a BD-50) and the remaining fifteen on the other (BD-25), and is encoded in AVC instead of DVD's really dated MPEG-2. No way in hell would they ever do an HD remaster of a show like that. There is only one M2TS file for the episodes per disc. So episodes 1 to 50 rip as an 18 hour MKV. When I got Rose of Versailles from the same label, I cut the episodes repeatedly, making the four long files shorter and shorter, until I finally had the 40 episodes. Took probably hours. Not doing that again. My Zidoo Z9X is crappy at playing BDMV folders (meaning an exact copy of the disc with menus and encryption removed). Unless I can find a free BDMV media player that I like, I'll play the darn disc.

I had no prior experience with laserdisc. All I saw was VHS everywhere when I was a kid, and then it was DVD. I didn't even know laserdisc existed until I saw videos about it on Youtube years ago.
The discs are indeed the size of a vinyl LP, and they feel expensive and look futuristic even today. I only wish the video quality could be improved further, but at least it's a step-up from VHS.

I watched most of your bike ride.. Some of it looked dangerous. Thought it was humorous biking past a Wrong Way sign, even though that was where the path did lead. But over all, it was a very nice ride. Congratulations.
Thanks, Devil. The descent is fun. I don't have the courage to go down as fast as the younger riders, though.
A driver cut me off again on my way to work yesterday morning, before the sun was out. Good thing I already started slowing down when I saw the car approach the street. Seems I need a brighter light. Ordered the Bontrager Ion Pro RT ($95) for the front and the Bontrager Ion 200 RT ($45) for the rear. That front light is supposed to be good both for seeing and for being seen. My long stretch through the airport bike path has almost no lights. I am going to ride with the light even in the daytime, using the flashing mode. Maybe that will prevent another crash where the driver doesn't look over their shoulder at the bike path or turns right on red as I'm there. I've only had rubber straps. A few of them tore, including the one for my lost (left somewhere at work after I used it to look under robots) Blackburn Dayblazer 400, which I replaced with an identical strap. Will be nice to have something sturdier attaching the light.
