Poll Watching a TV show? Binge or no? (21 votes)

Binge 19%
One or Two episodes each per day, or week. 48%
Varies (explain) 33%

So, when you guys watch TV shows on streaming or disc, do you prefer bingeing or going slow?

Me, I don't mind bingeing if I'm using physical media to watch my stuff. But streaming? I got so much I want to watch, I just watch one or two episode of the show and in addition, add it to a rotation. One day I'll watch Power Rangers, the other I'll watch Farscape or CSI.

You?

Binge, but it's a relative thing, because I rarely watch TV and can't be bothered with anything longer than about 6-10 episodes in total.

binge isn't pre-meditated, it just happens, and when it does it's amazing

Usually watch an episode or two of something each day while having dinner. Was watching Snowpiercer, but got bored of it. Was thinking of checking out the new Star Trek.

If the entire season drops then I will most likely binge.

Depending on the number of episodes and seasons, I can binge for maybe 3-4 seasons.

Sometimes though if the show has been on for six seasons I can't binge that long. I was really enjoying Ray Donovan but I was late to the show and there was like 6 seasons and I think I started season 4 or 5 and just stopped. Which sucks because it's an amazing show...not the first time I've done that, either.

I've grown to enjoy shows that dole their episodes out weekly, gives me something to look forward to, helps me pace myself.

If I don't binge it I probably lost interest and won't finish.

If I have enough free time, I will binge. I'm currently watching the 3rd season of Twin Peaks and I can usually put in a couple of episodes every night.

I'm guilty of procrastinating, but I can't binge watch without feeling like I should be doing something productive instead. I only stick to watching an episode or two in the evening.

I can binge any good media: Books, tv, video games. Even a particularly fascinating academic course.

Binge and cancel the streaming and take a different streaming and binge and do again.

Absolutely not. I get bored.

And really, serialized tv shows are probably the worst cinematic medium for story delivery anyway. It's too long resulting in meandering filler and it's completion date is typically undefined at the start resulting in sloppy arcs or incompletions.

Taking breaks between episodes helps hide some of that.

100% binge. Any other option is stupid. I'm not waiting a week per episode, in the hopes the channel draws me in enough to watch constantly.

Being bored of Snowpiercer deserves a ban. As for Picard(?) season 1 and 2 are meeeeh, but 3 is a love-song for TNG.

I usually watch two episodes per week of a show (unless it is fairly short, then four eps): don't really have that much time and even if I did, I don't like to end too soon ;)
