I still believe in physical media, especially when it comes to movies. I pre-ordered this, a month ago; glad I did because the set completely sold out on release, and those who are selling it are doing so at twice the markup:

4K physical versions of 1, 2, Afterlife, a ton of brand new bonus material, and digital copies of all the film in the franchise, including the 2016 movie.

Next movies I pre-ordered are Arrow Video's 4K versions of An American Werewolf in London, and RoboCop, coming out in March and April respectively.

I just bought The Lord of the Rings 4K set, includes theatrical and extended versions. Haven't bought a movie in years. If I do, it's always in physical format.

Kino Lorber's Last Year at Marienbad. Received, ripped and watched on Monday.

Was actually a little nervous about removing the shrink wrap, since I got bored and quit when I rented the older Criterion Blu-ray some years ago. But it was interesting.

Now watch Kino Lorber announce a UHD of this 4K scan within the year.

I've never purchased a movie or show digitally. Watched my first Vudu movie yesterday, the code for the original Scarface that came with the remake on 4K. I was okay with the lesser quality, since I knew what I was getting into, but what really sucked was that after the middle it stopped about six times. I had to look at that Vudu loading symbol over and over. Even though I have a good internet connection. I did finish the movie, but if I had known that would happen, I wouldn't have started it at all. So many bad experiences with streaming.

bought s1-3 of gomorrah a few years back after having to make do with dodgy rips and even dodgier subtitles (italian with diy english subs lol). so glad i bought the blurays. looks and sounds amazing in all its hd glory. the cinematography is special, the soundtrack superb. three captivating seasons of tv. the story arc comes to a thrilling conclusion at the close of s3. as a standalone trilogy it's proper top tier telly

I go through the dollar bin occasionally and sometimes come out with something. I've recently picked up Altered States, Darkman Collection and A Clockwork Orange.

Brought 1917 like 2 years ago. This whole thing with rentals going up BEFORE the physical copy to me is kind of lame and is killing my incentive to purchase physical copies. Wish they would go back to how it was previously.....

My last purchase was James Bond - No Time to Die, which I bought last month.

At the time of writing I've got over 150 Blu-ray movies, about 6 of which are UHD Blu-rays. A few years ago I was buying 2 or 3 a month now it's more like 3-4 per year.

Like anything physical, there is the problem of finding where to store them all after a while. This is the main reason why I've slowed down. Amazon Video has no such storage concerns though which is why I bought all the Game of Thrones series on there.

It's been a couple years since I got any movies, the last I got were a bunch, but some were: Avengers Endgame, Digimon Adventure Tri Part 1, The Equalizer 2, Reign of the Supermen, and Dragon Ball Super Broly. They are all Blu-Ray, but considering, I'm going to start getting those 4K bundles that have the Blu-Ray discs included.

@hallenbeck77: That looks freaking awesome.

Last time I bought a movie or series physical? Umm.. Might've been The Nightmare Before Christmas (including Vincent) in 2003 or something.

The Titanic -- on VHS. Most people probably just bought it so that you can pause it on Kate Winslet's nude scene.

Lol ^ I had it on VHS don't think I ever had it on DVD but I do have it on Blu-ray now, no 4K version yet.

I bought Forrest Gump on 4K BD, I was being a little underwhelmed with the newer format but then someone recommended I check if a movie was transferred from a Native 4K recording and this one was.
