Well?
Hard to pick just one, though I tend to favor lagers/pilsners. Which is funny because I am in IPA/DIPA land 😋
I do like a nice black lager though. If you ever see Death and Taxes, buy it!
No, it's not heavy. It's light, dry, and full of flavor.
I'll take a pilsner, no particular brand
Yeah, same. Love a nice, dry, crisp pilsner.
Some of the drier, lighter Belgian beers are nice too.
yingling, high life, and PBR.
Will drink nicer craft stuff from time to time. But not regularly.
Vienna lager and golden monkey
The strong stuff right here.
My faves;
Most any Guiness
Cigar City Jai Alai
Kalik (SP? it's Bahamian)
4 main gotos ( in no particular order )
yeungling whenever
sam adams octoberfest in the fall
leinenkugels summer shandy in the summer
bass whenever
Not much of a drinker anymore, but basically anything as long as it's not too sweet. Polish beers are generally pretty good these days. Łomża does the job nicely in summer, and Perła and Specjal were always my go-tos when strapped for cash.
Socially I prefer just vodka or diluted clear spirits with lemon. Zero hangover and I don't end up sleepy with a belly full of sugary liquids.
It's part of the culture here that the host pours for everyone, and vodka drinking is more about having a conversation fuel than getting tanked. It's a nice little ritual, which kind of encourages responsible drinking. As long as you've got a responsible host, that is.
Fruit beers like black currant stout: https://vilkmergesalus.lt/produkcija/eliai/vilkmerges-juoduju-serbentu-stout/ or cherry: https://vilkmergesalus.lt/produkcija/eliai/vilkmerges-vysniu-kriek/.
From ordinary beers, I'd guess any white beer would do, but I usually take White Pint: https://volfasengelman.lt/en/products/beer/volfas-engelman-en/4613/balta-pinta-2/
ive been in greece this past week and knocking back a santorini beer ive discovered blue monkey by the barrel (at least feels like it). literally nothing hits the spot better in scorching hot weather than an ice cold beer in a frosted glass and this little gem is up there with the best.
"combines the dry crispness of a german lager with the biscuity exuberance of a czech beer. perfectly balanced and refreshing it has an elegant aroma and flavour profile based on fresh blossoms and citrus fruit."
blah blah, goes down an absolute treat tho tbf
I'm infamous for trying new beers, just going into a bar and trying whatever craft stuff is on special. My favorite is a "sugared cream stout" from a bowling alley/brewery combo that no longer exists. It was dark as midnight with a frothed head you'd have trouble sticking a straw through, lol.
Used to drink beer but not now, been many years now since I’ve had one. I used to like Labatt Bleue from Canada but I get sick now if I’m drinking beer/liquor,etc… Being diabetic doesn’t help my liver, plus among other health issues.
