@heathen75: I heard somewhere that Kraven's Last Hunt is pretty dark in comparison to the rest of the franchise. Is that true? Thinking I might dip into Spider-Man with that run. I've pretty much only seen him fight Daredevil.

I still prefer and enjoy the old stuff I grew up with when i was a kid in the 1980s

original Power Pack

original Alpha Flight

Fright Night from NOW Comics

The Terminator from NOW Comics

original Spider-Ham comic during the early mid 1980s

original Uncanny X-Men comic during the early 1980s pretty much. Rogue being Wolverine's sidekick, Professor X being able to walk since he technically was a clone when X-Men went out into outer space to use Lilandra's Shiaar technology to clone Xavier to bring him back to life since original Xavier was infected with turning into a Brood creature

Really enjoyed the Akira Manga.

Shows you how much the movie cut out. And elevates it if you read it.

Definitely is one of the darker ones. Spider-man has always dealt with his share of tragedy and death, but this is more of a mind **** than anything else. I always pull this one out and give it a read every couple of years.

I'm not super into comics but there's a few that I have that a stellar.

-Invincible series (brutal with a great story)

-Berzerk series (brutal with a great story)

-Hellsing series (brutal with a great story)

-V for Vendetta (great story with great themes)

-White Sand (graphic novel from my favorite author that ties in with his book series)
