So last night i cut some files i wanted to have on my storage hard drive G from the C
i cut and paste my pictures to the G hard drive

today when i turned on my PC i noticed that my G hard drive had its name changed to LOCAL DISK
the same name as my C hard drive

it wasnt that name previously and now the G hard drive isnt found at all
does anyone know what i can do to fix this or is my storage hard drive just completely done for because ive got way too much stuff backed up to let it go

Is this an internal drive and did you install it yourself? Could be a loose cable. Could be a bad drive. Could be a problem with your OS!

Drives don't usually disapear when they are failing. It's possible but not likely. Hopefully it's just the cable. one way to check if the drive is being recognized is to unplug your main drive and plug the drive your having trouble with in.  If the bios recognizes the drive then it's probably not bad and most likely an OS issue!  These things happen.
