PS4 Fat 500gb fan making noise???

My PS4 Fat 500gb fan is making a lot of noise

Is this normal or should i be very concerned about it

What is the solution to this coz in my region i have to take it to the third party repairs as there is no official authorised sony repair center

I have an old 500GB ps4 and it definitely makes fan noises. Not as much as the Fat 40GB PS3 at the twilight years of it's generation (modded with a high rpm hard drive which probably built up some additional heat), that thing was a jet engine!

If I compare my 500GB PS4 with my PS4 Pro, the 500GB PS4 definitely sounds louder than the Pro.

I too have PS4 500gb model and the fan was making a lot of noise, like it was working to much. I opened it, and the fan was full of dust, very dirty, so i cleaned it, remplaced the thermal paste and no more loud noise. You could search in youtube, there are a lot of tutorials on how to disassemble a ps4, its not that hard if you follow the steps and have the right screw drivers.

If you dont feel to sure about disassemling the ps4 then yes, you willl have to take it to a third party rapair center.
