Chrono Oddyssey - next gen only MMO for PC, PS5, XSX/S with Demon's Souls Remake level gfx

Great looking MMO (admittedly I've never been into MMO'S) that has souls-like gameplay with graphics that can only be compared to PS5's Demon's Souls Remake

Yikes, why set their standards so low?

MMOs are easily one of my favorite genres and this game is pretty high on my list, up there with other MMOs, Survival games, Shooters, and RPGs.

A list of game I'm pretty hyped for in the MMO sector include (in no particular order). Chrono Oddyssey, Archeworld, Runeterra MMO, Blue Protocol, Throne and Liberty, Everywhere, Grand Saga, Honor of Kings World, The Quinfall, and Ashes of Creation.

It's a good time to have a taste in games like mine with a large selection of all 4 of those genres coming within the next few years.

Looks pretty cool and interesting but will probably never play it. Way too many other games I’d rather get and likely will want to get in the future.

I love MMOs, the issue is there hasn't been a good one in a LONG time. Sucks to love that genre.

And there's me thinking Square releasing Chrono Trigger or Chrono Cross related MMO

Doubt I'll play it though. MMOs are usually a nightmare when it comes to business practices, and I haven't enjoyed an MMO since World of Warcraft (which was only good before expansions) and the first Guild Wars.

Then you also have the fact that it's a Korean game. Last Korean game I thought looked cool was Lost Ark, and after playing it, I can easily say it's the worst piece of shit game I've played in years. Possibly one of the worst games I've ever played.

Absolutely zero chance the end product ends up looking that good lol. MMO is the most garbage genre of them all.

I don’t think you can get any lower than Redfall, maybe Crackdown 3 level, and even then that’s a maybe.

"Soulslike" gameplay. Yet we see people flying all over the place with their abilities.

And tear through waves of enemies with what looks to be a few attacks. Souls games are methodical, this is not it.

I wasnt a big fan of Lost Ark either.

Personally I thought it was a 4/10. Boring, but still better than a Sony First Party game.

Looks good at first glance. Graphics, physics, combat. Yea, i actually like the style. It's still asian-mmo-ish, but more nuanced and less overstyled. Unfortunately MMO.

I feel at this point, Sony should either dump Naughty Dog, or at least pick a few of the last remaining good employees and put them on other teams so that they can release a game in 2023.

Ugh Naughty Dog.... What a disappointment that studio has been over the past several years. It's like they have nothing left to say.

The difference is:

You can play a superior version of TLoU 2 on the ps4, and if you play it on the ps5, it’s even better. With Redfall, that is the best version you can get right now. Stop the spinning, stop the cap, like I stated before, TLoU 2, and Redfall are in 2 completely different scenarios.

I don’t know, they have been making bangers on the PlayStation. It seems to me that it’s the pc side of things that are suffering.

Why are gamers so anti-competitive and introverted? Play online once in a while. Socialize. Compete. Can't play everything on easy mode against brain-dead AI in order to get participation trophies all the time.

Game looks amazing by the way. Dark Souls meets ESO meets Final Fantasy.

I wish I was younger, now I don't have time for grind fest Korean MMOs like this :))

Been pretty bad year for gaming.

Saying that mostly played Duke3D and Doom so technically winning.

This thread reminds me how far behind everything on the X looks in comparison to Demon's Remake.
