Judas looks really slow and boring once you get past the razzle dazzle display.

Clockwork showed no gameplay, looks like a low rent Bioshock knockoff.

Just play Quake II: Remaster.

Pretty much this.

I'll need to see actual gameplay before saying more.

I'd rather replay the excellent System Shock remake whilst waiting for System Shock 2 remaster by Nightdive.

Judas looks slow, boring, and rehashed. Clockwork looks like it will be fresh, great story and gameplay will be aces because of the developer pedigree.

Equally unappealing. Scenes and music from both trailers could be cut and jumbled.

@kvallyx: This has to be sarcasm right?

inExile games are a complete no-name developer no one has heard of. They haven't made anything put purely mediocre garbage.

JUDAS is led by Ken Levine and the successor to 2K Boston / irrational Games.

They've made three of the best games of all time; Bioshock, Bioshock Infinite and System Shock 3.

All three are in the top 50.

At least in that regard i won't object. Nevertheless, Cockwork Devolution looks like a carbon copy of Bioshock Infinte. The victorian style + steampunk, the color palette, the suspension monorail, the postered walls, mechanical enemies, ...

Yea, sure, looks so fresh. The simple premise of Good vs. Evil makes a great story. Why not the bestest story ever?

THats a limb alright.

As neither Naughty Dog, From Software, Santa Monica, Larian, Kojima Productions nor Rockstar North are making any main 2024 games it looks like Judas is leading suggestion for GOTY 2024.

I don't know what you're seeing in Clockwork. It looks like a low budget 7/10 game that will be forgotten faster than Atomic Heart. Judas, tho, that is gonna be a great game, but it won't be released before 2030 at his point.

need more details. and gameplay. they could both easily turn out to be like bioshock, which isn't a bad thing but it's not an immersive sim, unless you just meant immersive without the sim bit. from those trailers i prefer clockwork revolution

@ghosts4ever: Why won't you explain in detail what an "immersive sim" is Ghosts.

I've given you legitimate reasons as to why no such genre exists and yet you can't respond in kind.

Me and @boiled-hotdug are still waiting for you to respond in THIS thread. And yet you're avoiding us.

As big of a filthy lem as I am, Clockwork looks like a poor man's Bioshock Infinite, which I didn't even care that much for anyways, I don't mind the steampunk aesthetic choice one bit but still it just looks way too Bioshock Infinite like for me to care. Thankfully it being on Game Pass I'll give it a try anyways. I'll play Judas on Xbox, just seeing that PS logo makes me wanna upchuck 🤢🤮

Judas looks like a creatively fresh new game. Beside Clockwork looking extremely derivative, nothing about inExile's portfolio gives me confidence this will be any good. Then against I've been surprised in past by some one trick pony devs who manage to nail stepping outside their comfort zone like they're the most talented devs around. Like Creative Assembly for Alien Isolation, before that they only ever made RTS games but they made themselves a first person horror game better than studios who have a better grasp for that sort of thing. Or even Blue Castle, they use to make The Bigs baseball games, which I assume were fun don't get me wrong, but taking over on for Dead Rising from 2nd game onward they did a phenomenal job. Now, I'd be fooling myself to think InExile will do the same, but I'd love to be proven wrong.

I am only speaking the truth, always nothing but the truth. It looks like a game made by a developer that wants to ride the Bioshock hype, but doesn't understand what makes Bioshock such a memorable IP. Of course, this is something you wouldn't see nor understand, because it says Xbox on the box, and its instantly a banger to you, which is beyond laughable. You need to grow up, dabear, you really do.

Clockwork is FPS/RPG hybrid. Bioshock was pure FPS game.

Judas follow more of Bioshock style.

Clockwork looks more of Arkane Style game.

As someone that did not like Bioshock 1 and 2 (but found Infinite OK, which is funny as most people dislike it), I don't find the appeal "from the _ of Bioshock" like others might.

Bioshock initially claimed to be the spiritual successor to System Shock and it was a far, far, far cry from that. Not immersive at all. It was an FPS with powers, which might as well have just been more guns (insert freeze ray gun for freeze ray hand power, etc).

Wake me up when we get a Prey 2, Thief 3 (or 4?), System Shock 3, Dishonored 3, etc announcement. Otherwise I'm going to sleep on these Bioshock-like games.

I always assume that's just some BS they write to gather attention. In my experience, when a trailer says "from the makers of __" the game in question is often bad.

If they show a game that looks a lot like BioShock, then says "from the makers of BioShock" I just roll my eyes. Nice, a derivative game trying its best to copy BioShock from like two guys who worked on some small part of some BioShock. Great.
