Diablo Immortal is good? Blizzards biggest game?

Anyone tried the F2P Diablo mobile game?

It's out now.

I downloaded it last night just to see how bad.

Not going to lie I wasn't hating it.

Reminded me of Diablo 3. But on my phone.

Controlled really easy to with the phone and touch screen.

I hated on this game. The announcement of it before Diablo 4 rubbed me the wrong way.

But what I played so far not bad.

If this game is successful and makes a ton of money (mobile games are pretty good at making mtx money) I wonder how this will change blizzard.

Apparently Blizzard said they have the same amount of resources going into Diablo immortal as Diablo 4!!

Yeah, I put a few hours into it. Not half bad at all. I'm a casual with Diablo 3 so I have my fun with these games but there really is nothing to them. Just moving n clicking. Still, for a phone game this is surprisingly decent and fun even. Mindless fun, of course. No ads coming up every 5 minutes where I have to wait a little to close it and continue playing. Literally a video game Diablo on a phone.

Was actually gonna try it out on PC but it got banned in Belgium and The Netherlands, I'm whatever about it.

Pretty good, little scared of getting addicted.

Might give it a try sometime but much more interested in Diablo IV.

Its a P2W piece of shit. You thought it wouldn't be the case when its built for a phone? Think again, and then remember by whom its made by.

Seems like too much P2W. Give me Diablo 4.

@hardwenzen: I mean it's not bad for a free phone game. I won't spend a dime on this game. But as a time killer if you only have your phone on you. It's actually decent. I'm not planning on playing this phone game competitive. I don't think it even has pvp. I also don't care if the best gear is behind a paywall. It's a super casual phone game imo that plays alot like Diablo 3. Diablo 3 is better than this game. I have Diablo 3 on playstation, PC, and Xbox. I'd recommend that game over this. But as a F2P casual phone game. It's not bad and I hated the hell out of this game and it's announcement. Granted that was more because I was pissed they hadn't announced 4 yet.

If i have a phone on me and have time to kill, better watch something than download this piece of shit.

It’s pretty decent imo. Not sure I’ll ever going to be hooked on a phone game but for some mindless fun it isn’t bad!

Regarding the P2W as far as I heard it’s mostly relates to people who want to pvp, so might not be a big issue.

@IgGy621985: tbh I don't get why anyone would want to play this on PC. Seems more made for the touch screen. If I was at my PC better off playing Diablo 2 or 3 imo. I know they added the PC version because people asked for it. Just doesn't make much sense to me.

Havent had much faith in Blizzard for a while, and this game certainly didnt improve the situation.

It seems like a terrible gambling game put out by a company known for its terrible harassment issues.

After playing a bit, yeah it works as a dumbed down version of Diablo. The touch screen controls are terrible of course, but you can play with a controller. On top of the game that works however, there's microtransactions and lootboxes galore, making the whole experience complete shit.

It would be stupid to not create Immortals for all the idiots who're going to spend hundreds of dollars on this piece of shit, but I wish Blizzard cared a little bit more about their fans and a little bit less about people with gambling problems.

@Random_Matt: it's free, I won't spend a dime on it. I don't care if other people do want to spend money on it. It's a phone game, not my problem. :p

Worst part of all ... is that Blizzard still know how to make games ... is not terrible by any means and you know that very deep down there, they are still capable of making decent if not great games with some of the best art in the industry, even if the original developers are long gone.

With that being said ... you also know is current Blizzard, so any trace of a good development is hidden behind predatory monetizacion and paywalls within its progression.

@sargentd: The problem is that after a few hours, the "pay to play" kicks in - enemies become too difficult to defeat with the in game loot. So, you've got to open you wallet.

@dabear: I guess I haven't gotten that far in. My guy is like lvl 27. Regardless just picked up Diablo 2 remaster and Diablo 3 in a bundle on switch. Already have Diablo 3 on everything else but want it for handheld and never tried the Diablo 2 remaster so I'll probly mess with that this week.

I legit don't like mobile games. Unless it's emulators of older games. But even I found immortal to be fun. I'll still mess with it it untill I hit this wall you are talking about. I'm not spending no money on it lol

The phone game at it's worst had me wanting to play more Diablo. I'm looking forward to 4.

Diablo Immortal was clearly designed for the Chinese market, with the Chinese co-developer NetEase and the free-to-play business model.

@sargentd: I feel exactly the same as you. I hate mtx in games as much as anyone would but unless I go to the shop tab, I really don't notice it. It legit just feels like Diablo 3 on the phone and it is a fine game to waste some time on. These are all just mindless games to me anyway. Just moving n clicking.

I just bought Diablo III on Switch instead (realizing I did a bad thing, lol).

A friend who played it says its fun until level ~35 when the grind starts to really set in and you are clearly meant to start spending money at that point, once you are hooked.

@nintendoboy16: I bought it on switch too. But with the bundle with Diablo 2 remaster. So now I got 2 and 3 for the switch. The eShop is kinda messed up. It has Diablo 3 eternal for $60. But the ultimate evil bundle comes with both Diablo 2 remaster and Diablo 3 eternal...

People not paying attention might spend $60 on eternal not knowing they can get Diablo 2 included for the same price. It's screwey

Holy shit this game is worse than i even expected. It costs 100k dollars to max out your character. I repeat, 100k to max out a character in a little phone video game.

Honestly, though - A TON of free-to-play mobile games are like this. Diablo fans demanded a mobile game on PC, and that is what they got. These games are "free", but are actually pay-to-win monetization nightmares.

I'm not sure why everyone is mad at Blizzard for doing what a ton of mobile games have been doing for years.

@dabear: I know, all the phone games are like this. I don't get why Diablo fans demanded a PC client for this phone game... Just play Diablo 2 or 3 if your on PC.... Why play a mobile game on PC.. originally it was only phones but people kept asking for PC client apparently *shrug*

I'll do the same thing I did when playing Lost Ark. Enjoy it as F2P untill I hit a paywall and it's not fun *shrug*
