Least anticipated Upcoming games or games we are not looking forward to.

Hello friends,

this thread is about least anticipated games. or games that looks very underwelmingly. so what are the games you are not looking forward to or looks underwelmingly enough?

here's mine

• Modern Warfare 2 (By far)
• Last of Us remake
• God of war Ragnarok (original one of the worst game of all time)
• Plage tale 2 (yawn hand holding)
• Hogwart legacy
• Dead space remake (lol Callisto going to destroy it)
• Gotham knights

and probably more but those games straight out looks bad. really bad. sum up everything wrong with gaming industry today.

so friends, whats your least anticipated games?

Stalker 2

Street Fighter 6 looks incredible, I love that they are continuing the style from the previous games but have also refined it, love the splashes of colors which reminds me of Nintendo games like Splatoon or Paper Mario.

But then I remember: I don't play fighting games, I suck at fighting games and I can't even pull of the simplest combo in fighting games.

The few fights I've ever won against kin or against online opponents was by brute force.

That would be most games for me. I can list some of them if you want.

Sonic Frontiers

Almost 100% sure all of those will be terrible.

And basically, anything from EA, Ubisoft, CDPR, Sony, add it to the list.

Probably some asset flip game getting dumped on Steam or something and/or cheap mobile game. Out of games that get talked about regularly here there are several I could probably list such as:

- Sonic Frontiers

- Atomic Heart

- Splinter Cell Remake

- IGI Origins

- Hogwart’s Legacy

- Splatoon 3

I’m sure I could list more but I generally don’t think too much about games that I’m not interested in. 😅

Haha, it's funny that one of the only games I am interested in, is one that most of you don't want; Hogwarts Legacy.

I'm sure they'll find a way to f*ck it up, but it's almost exactly what I want out of a HP game. Just a student at Hogwarts, but without all the HP baggage.

What about it is rubbing you guys the wrong way?

I would say that most of what I've seen over the past week is uninteresting to me. But the one that I keep hearing about is Redfall. I think a grounded, serious vampire hunting game could be awesome... but this looks like they started there and then dipped it in modern stupid.

For some reason I usually find something to like in just about every game even if I don't like it overall. I can't think of any games I'm not hyped for though.. probably because I don't care.. which ironically means I'm not hyped. It's circular.

I could actually make part of a list of the games I am anticipating by picking off others non anticipated lists in this thread.. but that's what makes the world turn right?

I don't like to focus on the negative that much, and I don't want to waste time on games I know I'm not interested in so I probably won't go spend time researching them to come up with a list.

Thinking about it probably redfall it just looks so generic.

Im excited for FF7 remake 2.

But.. but.. you hate cinematic games... remember?

LOL FF7 have better gameplay than any of your game.

beside it also have fantastic story and characters.

I would play Modern Warfare 2 (or whatever, the reboot sequel), but I am gonna wait for the MS buyout so I can play it on Game Pass. Any consideration for Vanguard is also going on hold until the buyout is over. No point knowing that stuff is coming to Game Pass.

Plagues Tale 2 I will no doubt play, loved the original and this will be day one on Game Pass.

Dead Space remake is a wait and see kind of deal, EA is too unpredictable about releasing half baked alphas into the wild. But yeah, Callisto Protocol will definitely be a factor regarding where my hype for the Dead Space will land when it releases, and the devs are doing a piss poor job getting people hyped for it. By contrast, just look how good of a job the developer diaries videos leading up to the original game's 2008 release did to really show it off, the stuff they're showing now still looks so raw it wouldn't surprise me the game gets pushed back to late 2023 or early 2024.

Gotham Knights... have yet to even get hyped yet. Some gameplay I saw looked not so great. In general with respect to DC licenses it's the goody two shoes super heroes I find less appealing than DC villains or rogues or whatever, the darker side of DC kind of stuff. Just looking at the DC film/TV stuff I have enjoyed more over years is stuff like James Gunn's Suicide Squad movie or the Peacemaker series, the Harley Quinn animated TV show, that Taxi Driver'esque Joker film, or the Justice League Dark / Constantine animated features.

God of War would interest me except I rarely ever touch my PS4 and still haven't played the last one so I guess I can't defend it from my own experience, but people at large loved it, people anticipate the next one, and with the console wars approaching a dead heat possibly PS fans more than ever will hype and praise their exclusives so I don't think this is a title anybody can write off.

I haven't followed the DS remake very closely but if it's just a new coat of paint I'll be somewhat disappointed.

Sony games in general, Wolverine in particular I have low expectations for.

C'mon - like, 100 games get shoveled out a year, and almost none of them are gonna align with my taste. It's much easier to talk about the 5-10 games a year one is looking forward to than list the 90 one isn't

CoD MW 2, the market is over saturated with CoD games already, we don’t need a new one every single year.
