PS5 Owners - Who Else is Hyped about The Rise of the Ronin?

Games like these make me glad to be part of the PS5 clan. It is a month 1 purchase for me.

Who else is hyped about this game? Looks mighty fine to me.

Rise of The Ronin has a Ghost of Tsushima vibe to it but introduces several innovative gameplay concepts.

You play as a Ronin - a Samurai fighter clan with no binding loyalties - during feudal Japan in 1863. The open world game allows you to set your own path or become a pawn by joining one of the competing factions.

I skipped Ghost of Tsushima as I found the gameplay rather monotonous using only the blade. This game is different as the combat features different types of blades and guns. You can ride on horses or even fly like an eagle surveying the lands to detect enemies' weaknesses.

im intrested,it's open world draws me in.day one?maybe,depends on what third party or xbox games are available at the time,if Avowed or starwars ubisoft are out or on the horizon ronin will go on the play later list

@danishanwar: I honestly think it will score an 8/10. But, if it gets a 9 or a 10, I will not be that surprised.

I am very interested in the game. When it was first shown, I was hoping for something more like Ninja Gaiden and less like NioH, but I am liking what they have shown so far. If it turns out well, it will be a definite purchase. Probably not day 1 as my catalogue of PS4 and PS5 games to finish is incredibly long.

And I agree, the PS5 is a good console. It gets some nice 3rd party exclusives along with some nice 1st party content.

I enjoyed Ni-oh and a more open game from this studio could be like the Elden Ring of that series so it sounds interesting.

I loved Ghost of Tsushima! I'll get this for sure unless it has difficulty of a Souls game.

I was interested but knowing that's just another Nioh, I'm not. Got tired of the souls like formula. Actively avoid it now.

Absolutely not. Their presentation was incredibly amateurish as well (poor sound, poor image quality and shit frame rate).

You look at the gameplay, and outside of the glider, its yet another Nioh, with the exact same combat animations, running animation, sound effect, engine and literally everything. Like what the **** are they doing out there? Don't think anybody at that studio is capable of developing video games.

Looks like an Indie game, but I will be checking it out.

Kinda looks like Team Ninja's take on Dad of War combat dtyle with an open world. Can't say im excited but will try it if it gets ok reviews.

I wish they'd grow a pair and make a new Ninja Gaiden.

As far as ninja and samurai games go, Team Ninja are the best in the game (it's in the name). Ninja Gaiden is the best ninja series, and Nioh is the best samurai series since Onimusha. Looking forward to Team Ninja's next game in the ninja/samurai genre.

I'm interested. I enjoyed Ghost of Tsushima , Nioh 1+2 , and a handful of the older A.Creed games and it looks like a combination of those games. Hope it turns out well.
