Sony loves having so few games that they will actively start deleting traces of games existence.

So right when you think Sony can't sink even lower after destroying poor nerds stashes of figurines, Sony has hit another low.

They are now deleting every trace of Star Wars KOTOR remake ever being announced.

Sony does not want to give the impression of future exclusive games coming to PS5 so they have started to delete old tweets and videos linking to Star Wars KOTOR remake's existence.

Probably because of the disputes between Sony, Aspyr, and LucasFilm over the quality of the game. Maybe they all came to an agreement to abandon the project or LucasFilm is looking for another publisher.

Honestly I wasn't looking forward to the KOTOR remake anyway. I don't understand why the game needed rewrites to begin with.

Still, it really fits with Sony's running theme ie "PS5 has no games"

Indicative that the KOTOR remake is on hiatus. Embracer is assuredly consolidating their teams and Aspyr is going to be downsized and the project suspended or cancelled.

Yeah the Tomb Raider remasters have me believing Aspyr is going back to their old MO and they will no longer tackle another project on the scale of KOTOR remake ever again.

Still, I feel bad for the people that bought a PS5 hoping for big singleplayer exclusives like these.

A remake of this game would either be a faithful one, but too pricey.

Or, it would be a half-assed piece of crap, way too pricey, be the reason why they remove the better and cheaper original and whatever more bullshit that usually comes along with remakes.

I'd rather see it canceled for the good of gaming.

At this rate, remaster the PC version and give it QOL improvements. I'm replaying DAO right now, which uses similar gameplay, yet that was tailor made for PC with use of hotkeys.

Yeah Sony needs to give a roadmap asap. It's looking kinda spooky right about now.

im tired of seeing sony only has wolverine coming. im sure they have many new games in the works. sales will start slowing down as well. give gamers something to look forward to.

They're just so bad. People no longer refer to "playing" those games they just refer to it as "grinding"

Like an empty husk of a human being no longer enjoying their time behind a PC/console instead having only one purpose:

to spend hours and hours getting that one item or skin that is only X number of matches away.

And then the Twisted Metal (series) trailer rolled by and I was convinced it was just the live action announcement trailer for a new game.

How dissapointed I was to see that it was an actual... live action TV series. Give us a game Sony!!

Yup, it's all superhero fluff now. The boredom from the big screen brought home in a 50 hour open world game.

The problem is, Star Wars: KOTOR is still fine to play by today's standard mainly on PC with a little tweaking on the settings and I played it for the first time just a few years ago. It has aged well enough to appreciate what it did back than and its still a great of a game IMO.

That said, it doesn't necessarily needs a Remake, it just needs a Remastered with controller improvement and sharper A.I partners.

I can deal with Kotor being canned, but i can't deal knowing that there's only two superhero games coming, one of which might be a 2025 game for all we know. Something is royally f'ed at Sony at the moment. They're literally equal to Microsoft, and that's not OK in my book.
