Sony says they aren't hearing complaints about PS5 storage.

I have 8 games installed, and still have 250gb left. So to me that's pretty adequate. I'm not going to be playing all games at once or anything lol. I was initially thinking 667gb wouldn't be much, especially with Call of Duty. but so far so good. How about you, next gen owners? How is your storage space going so far? Is this adequate enough for you or do you plan on getting an expansion at some point?

Which 8 games do you have installed out of interest? And how much does DS take?

I have 12 installed and about 230 left

DS is 33GB. Cold War shows 81, but I only have the multiplayer and CO-OP downloaded. I haven't played a COD campaign in like years lol.

Installed 9 games and have just a little over 300gb left on my XSX, but I have an external so I’m good for a while. I think I’ll finally finish Half Life 2! I’ll most likely just use my X1X externals for BC games and use the SSDs for XSX titles going forward. I’m surprised there’s not an additional slot for another SSD.

*Looks at his PC with 2 1TB SSD & a 1TB NVME 2.0* I'm looking mighty good and no need for next-gen consoles holding me back when it comes to storage by doing it your own way. Not by the console manufacturer who tells you cannot have more options.

As far as I know, both companies will allow you to expand your storage. Sony hasn't done it yet, but Xbox does right?
Do you actually use 2 tb for gaming? How many games are you playing lol.

I'm not too worried about storage as of yet given that I have almost all my PS4 games installed on my 4TB external. Here's what I have installed on my PS5 thus far...

• AC Valhalla (PS5)
• Astro's Playroom (PS5)
• Dead by Daylight (PS5 version)
• Destiny Beyond Light (PS4 - PS5 upgrade on Dec 8th)
• Days Gone (PS4)
• Ratchet & Clank (PS4)
• Crash Trilogy (PS4)

Nor will they. It's an "issue" morons on both sides bring up.

It's fine so far and I can't see any real issues for about 3-4 months. Even then I can delete something I've finished if I need to make room.

12 games installed on XsX. Not sure about ps5, we have CoD installed and thats it. I might install a few games on it this weekend though.

@SolidGame_basic: Of course he's not hearing about any storage issues, most people are playing PS5 games on the PS4 LMFAO.

It'll be an issue for hardcore and enthusiast gamers but, the average gamer will likely be OK with what's available.

Fwiw, he at least tries to justify it based on hard data that's available to him.

We obviously are able to monitor hard drive usage on the PS4 microscopically and everything that we saw there indicates that we should be fine.

@SolidGame_basic: My sig below will fill you on what games I have installed but for the most parts, I just like having more storage so I won't have to worry about running out of space and I do more editing stuff I like to do on the sides, so more storage is always nice :)

XSS with game pass, GoW 5, SoR 4, NFS Heat, Anthem, THPS 5, PES 2020 and Doom Eternal. I have about 70gb left. The storage sucks and I have to complete a game to add a new one.

My PS5 is still boxed. I don't want to set it up because I don't want to buy any of the launch games.

Right now game pass is the better and cheaper option. Until the PS5 launches Rachet and Clank, God of War etc... And the PS5 laps the Xbox.

I have a great internet with no bandwidth limitations, so I don't need any extra space. Just delete a game when I'm done, then download the next one and play it in half an hour.

I can't speak from personal experience, but he probably should be. It's not great... Not world-ending, but it's lacking. I bought a high-end 2TB nvme for my new PC, and i'm seriously considering grabbing another with at least a TB.

They just like the users in this thread are on the same level of "wow" in terms intelligence:

• Most of the games on peoples PS5's are current gen games at 30GB
• There aren't many people with PS5's due to stock
• Its not even released in UK
• There aren't any next generation games

Its like saying a 16GB phone is more than enough because your taking pictures at 4mp... Use some of your brain at least please it sure would make sharing this planet with you people easier.

This could bite Sony in the ass - quickly. What’s the point of having a large collection of games when you can’t store them?

Holy crap, I just deleted a whole TB's worth of games off my PS4 Pro. I had a 1TB external hooked up to it and honestly there's no reason to leave all those big games I've already played ,or aren't playing at the moment, on there.

All that stuff seemed to slow down the system as well. Now to do the same with my One X to get ready for next gen.

I downloaded a bunch of games with PS Plus along with spider man, CoD Cold War and still have a lot of space. For the most part I plan on running physical copies to save space and I also don’t download any apps on my PS5 simply because my tv already has most of them (Netflix, prime, YouTube, etc.) so I save space there as well. I was planning on buying an eternal hard drive eventually anyways but I don’t think I’ll be in a rush to do so.

They have an easily accessible 2nd M.2 slot where you think you would be able to cheaply add another stick but they have it disabled cuz Sony.

I was fine with 500 GB PS4 since release. I tend to finish console games and move on to the next. It's not often I replay older ones.

They have to start listing compatible external nvmes though. Sucks for those users and the competition already has a working answer.

@SolidGame_basic: u do realise a pc isnt primarily for gaming? We can store movies, music, documents, work related stuff too also.

@ratchetclank92: How is a physical copy going to save disk space? Still needs to install to the hard drive
