Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury trailer coming tomorrow

Nintendo will debut a new trailer for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury tomorrow, the company just announced. The video will be two minutes long.

The trailer goes live at the following times:

– 6 AM PT

– 9 AM ET

– 2 PM in the UK

– 3 PM in Europe

Nice. I really enjoyed the Wii U game so I’m definitely looking forward to playing it again on the Switch. Quite interested in seeing what this Bowser’s Fury addition is going to be like.

Is this another emulator cash grab or a simple port of an old game for full price that sheep defenders will tell everyone how they haven't played the game in 300 years, so its absolutely worth the $50-60 price tag?

Can your phone emulate the WiiU cuz my can't even emulate the PSP.

No different than Sony releasing a new console with a remaster of a PS3 game and a standalone DLC pack that also released on PS4 and called it a launch lineup.

MM is a decent upgrade, while Demon Souls is a massive upgrade. This will probably be indistinguishable from the Wii U version. Not comparable

Looks great! The Bowser’s Fury addition looks very cool. I loved the Wii U game, still have it, but I’m pretty hyped to get this Switch version and play through it again. Only one month away now. Day one purchase for me. 😁

That's true, and real shitty at the same time. Its shit because it encourages Nintendo (and others) to do just that, re-release old shit with no effort being put into it.

edit: just watched the trailer. this looks like a wiiu game from years ago. only on the switch do you get a pass for a re-release with no improvements. double standards.

Gonna grab it eventually. Least favorite 3d Mario, but still a damn good 3d platformer.

Aside from the final stages, played the game entirely in coop. Kinda curious how it holds up as a single player game.

Well technically: none of that footage in the trailer was from a 7 year old game.

Now my concern is just how much new content the game will actually have. I'm thinking it could end up just being like an hour's romp of new content, the Mario universe's take on Godzilla. But then what after that? That's what I'm thinking: the bonus stuff won't be meaty enough to justify buying the game all over again.

I guess for those that never played the Wii U game, will have the most fun with it since it will all come fresh.

The game will sell millions I can tell you.

As it stands right here and right now, the PS5/XSX don't have a solid library of new games specifically for said system(s). Some of the last generation games able to be played on the new generation are full priced. It only seems to cause distress if it is Nintendo.

I remember beating it but I wasn't crazy about it. I didn't like using the Wii U controller, playing with other people, and the cat suit. But I can get behind this lol. Having it in portable mode on the Switch. Sweetness!

I don't care or mind if games re-release, but people need to stop holding them in the same conversation of new releases (Playstation fans have been BIG offenders of this over the last several years). I understand there are plenty of games out there that people missed out on, and hunting down for old consoles is not always a simple task.

Hell yeah for Demon's Souls. Hell yeah for Xenoblade Chronicles. Games like these deserve an audience.

My problem now is that re-releases are now being considered for GOTY fare. I think it's messed up how Demon's Souls already won GOTY, and then it went up for winning it again.

The industry needs to stop treating them like they're new games just for having updated graphics and some bonus content. It really degrades the efforts that were put into the new games that actually came out during a respective year.

The trailer is for Bowser's Fury, not Super Mario 3D World! The gameplay in the former is nowhere like the latter (which I played on the WiiU years back and finished).

Wow the Bowser's Fury's gameplay looks nothing like Mario 3D World. It looks more like Mario Odyssey instead. I might actually get this game. At least Nintendo is putting some effort in this version of the game unlike their other Wii-U ports.
