Where does Cyberpunk's console launch ranks among the worst ever?

This is perhaps even worse than the Arkham Knight launch on PC. Some of the recent disastrous launches to refresh your memories:

Arkham Knight - PC

Assassin's Creed Unity - All platforms

Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition - PC

No Man's Sky - PS4 and PC

Fallout 76 - All platforms

Battlefield 4 - All platforms

Cyberpunk 2077 - PS4/X1

There are many more but these are those I can recall off the top of my head. Cyberpunk is an absolute nightmare on the base consoles.

Seems like Cyberpunk took the cake from all of them.😂

76 is still the king. Arkham Knight would be #1 if it's issues carried over to all platforms.

I don't think anything can take the award away from Fallout 76 or Battlefield 4 as both were unplayable by most accounts when they launched.

But hype vs reality...well on that account I think Cyberpunk is the "winner".

Cyberpunk is the bigger disappointment of the lot, as far as it's console launch, but as far as being straight up the worst I don't think anything will ever take the crown from Fallout 76, probably the biggest dumpster fire launch that will ever exist, just nightmare after nightmare in it's physical and digital products.

These games had worst launches, bugs, and awful performance than Cyberpunk.

You forgot about Splinter Cell : Double Agent PC. Game breaking audio and visual bugs, that didn't let you at worst see or hear the game, and glitches on a couple of obligatory ledges like two thirds into the game that would stop your progression and the only "fix" was to start a new game and hope that both wouldn't appear on that particular playthrough, only one of the two meant a restart.

I'd say Arkham Knight is still the worst. That actually got pulled from sale and offered refunds from the publisher.

Both Arkham Knight & Fallout 76 still holds the crown but CP2077 isn't bad on PC aka God hardware but playing it on mortal hardware consoles is the real problem.

I stuck with last gen. Double Agent was like 14 years ago.

cyberpunk is without doubt the mother of all botched console releases. i've seen some disasters over the years but nothing comes remotely close to this. i would recommend people try it on the base ps4 because words cannot adequately describe how bad it is

This is up there with Colonial Marines, though lacks the weaselly figure that embodies the wrong committed the way Randy Pitchford's face does.

Unity was actually really playable on PC since day one.

It's the console versions where Ubisoft was preparing everyone for 24fps, especially with those huge crowds it had.

Might not be the worst launch, but it definitely attracted the most disastrous results.

Nothing will ever be worse than the MCC. It was broken for 4 years.

Yeah I would say that Cyberpunk 2077 tops the chart as worst ever.

Fallout 76

I never had an issue with Cyberpunk or MCC. It would seem consoles are more trouble than they are worth.

Tough one between cyberpunk and fallout 76.

Seems like fallout 76 was in a worse state, but its Bethesda, so it was probably somewhat expected.

I did not expect such a massive step backwards from cdpr after the witcher 3. As far as damage to your brand, cyberpunk takes the cake, as cdpr had further to fall from grace.

I thought Sega Saturn ninja surprise launch was the worst....but hey everyone's opinions are different.
