Wo Lang: Fallen Dynasty & Valyrie Elysium demos out today!

This is a PSA for those interested in these games! I'm downloading the demos naow! Feel free to post your impressions.

Won't even try Wo Long because it doesn't look like a game for me, I should finally get around to trying the Diofield demo though :p

I tried Valkyrie... as long as there's some weapon variety it'll probably be decent. Kinda similar to Scarlet Nexus with its companion system More interested in Soleil's other game, Wanted.

Will download Wo Long.

Downloading Wo Long, but the game is exactly what i predicted it being. Its a Nioh copy paste job with the same shitty level design.

Tried a bit of the Wo Long demo and it seems quite good.

Wo Long demo surprisingly good, Day 1 for me.

Valkyrie Elysium... bland world & boring gameplay.

Okay, I’m totally sold on Valkyrie Elysium. I’ve wanted this type of game for awhile now.

Wo Long is really good too. Finally, some action games for me!

Wo long feels and plays off. The game relies heavily on timing but most of the time, it does feel right and the telegraphing is sometimes awful. There are times when the game just doesn't respond to input which is annoying, to say the least. Also, the Xbox version is busted with frequent and random "Something went wrong" messages.

Spent like 40 minutes on the demo. Its so painful to rewire to completely different controls after a bizillion of hours in ER. Will beat the demo before judging it, but the lock on is so far inferior to fromsoft's and i feel like melee hitboxes are garbage. Other than that, enemies fade out of view on bridges that are 20 feet from you and at the same distance they're rendered at half refresh rate or lower. These Japanese devs and their shit engines they made in 1999 are getting annoying.

@hardwenzen: You never have anything positive to say about anything. Seeing your name means an insufferable post of arrogance is coming. Take yourself down a few notches and try to actually enjoy something for once.

Go to settings on your Xbox and set to offline and you should be fine. Devs fucked up the online handshake on Xbox in the demo.

Just tried out Wo Lang and it was great! It’s like a more refined, action oriented Nioh with better controls and camera. I’m surprised @ConanTheStoner isn’t trying this out.

Those tigers are super annoying...

Also melee combat feels a bit limited w/o stance changing but if progression is anything like Nioh you'll be able to do alot more late game.

btw, i am not going down a few notches🤷‍♂️it is what it is. If the game has issues, i don't close my eyes on it and call it as it is, imagine that. Also, i never said that the game was complet garbage, but i am comparing it to the gold standard, which is fromsoft's games, and its inferior.

This game blows Elden Ring out of the water.
