Which Halo Title Is The 'Pinnacle' Of The Franchise?

I haven't put a whole lot of time into some of the Halo's, but this is the internet so here is my unqualified opinion anyway.

I say tie between 3 and Reach. Reach feels like the most refined and complete Bungie game. Like they took one last stab at perfecting everything they had been iterating upon for the whole series, to deliver a their magnum opus of the franchise. I say if you are going to play one Halo game, this should be the one.

That said, its hard to argue against 3. It is an epic conclusion to a huge story, packed with features and content. There are a lot of little things that Reach does better, but it's not really all that noticeably better. 3 was already a very high bar.

Halo: Combat Evolved gets my vote as it's always been the Goat. Even playing it in the Remastered version in MCC, some level looks good except for the swamp level. They ruin that and I always played the Swamp level to its original form.

Halo CE for its significance.

(My vote) Reach for being one of the best FPS ever

Infinite for having the best gameplay

Except for 5 they're all great.

Yeah 5 is the only Halo I call 'good'. Every other is Great imo. Im a big fan of Halo. Read the books and comics, take in all the media. I personally love the campaign of Infinite. I dont do MP like I used to so Im not bothered by the lack of content. The campaign with its boss battles, HVTs was awesome to me. I wish it had more varied settings but hoping for campaign DLC.

3, the controls and weapons were tighter than in Reach and it was the conclusion to Chief's story. Multi-player was at its best, and the DLC maps were all worth getting.
