What are you playing this weekend, SW?

I've been playing Baldur's Gate 3 and it's fantastic. 30 hours in. But I'm also excited to check out Yakuza Infinite Wealth and Tekken 8 which both release tomorrow. Surprised they got as good of a score as they did, so I'm falling for the hype. And then there's Persona 3 Reload next week.. talk about no time lol. How about you, SW? What are you playing this weekend?

Was gonna buy Kanjozoku Game but I can wait for a deep sale. So, nothing really as i'm moving house next week so need to pack. Have fun everyone who does get some gaming in.

Palworld and Rocket League on Friday night and Saturday. My Lions are in the NFC Championship game on Sunday. Having a viewing party type shindig in the home theater for that one. I’m gonna be a wreck all day Sunday.

Still playing BG3 and started a new run on Midnight Suns. I need to finish FF7 Remake but I'm at Shinra HQ and I'm bored with that area, so it's getting harder to complete it. I'm also still playing Starfield but I'm waiting on the new update to hit before continuing. I'm also debating on getting Palworld simply because PETA is now joining Nintendo in it's resistance against it.

Years ago, around 2021, I decided that the day Horizon Forbidden West for PC is given an exact release date, I would immediately drop everything and start a new play-through of Horizon Zero Dawn. I even kept the game installed on my SSD just for that occasion.

That day has arrived.

No helmets or pads required, real men, real sport. Each team has to play offense AND defense, they play two 40-minute halves, very few stoppages, no stoppages between plays.

Coming to Las Vegas in March, I wouldn't advise you go watch it as it makes the NFL look like children playing in the playground at Kindergarten 🤣

Nah, lived in New Zealand for a bunch of years. More of a Union person, but people do follow League over there. Still remember my first Origin watch party.

If you're a Union fan then i'd say you're from the UK then.

Yeah, Origin is insane, but I feel its lost some of its shine the last few years as the Blues haven't been able to field their best side.

@last_lap: I spent time in Australia and watched plenty of Rugby. The hits and speed dont compare to the NFL. The offense is just a series of laterals. You don’t get to full speed that way. The guys are tough for sure. But there’s a reason they get away with not wearing pads.

Nah, if you had watched League (Rugby is a different sport) you would know that teams try and go through the middle before the spread the ball wide (lateral) hitting someone body to body contact is more severe than padded body to padded body.

League players have gone to the US and played in the NFL, not a single NFL player has ever played in the NRL and for good reason, they simple wouldn't have the stamina or toughness.

I used to play a lot of Madden back in the Sega Mega Drive era, and used the Lions and 49ers a lot, so I hope your team comes out on top on the weekend.

@last_lap: I was in the U.S. Air Force and spent some time at RAF Base Richmond. We were NSW fans. Is that League or something else?

That is League, it's just that Union is referred to as Rugby here, easily for people who weren't born/grew up here to confuse.

I used to live across the road from the RAAF base in Richmond. It should have been illegal to have a RAAF base so close to homes. Testing Hercules planes at 2,3,4am and having jets fly over until 10pm was ridiculous, but that was over 20yrs ago, and I haven't been there since. What a blast from the past lol.

Still playing nothing but MHW for about two weeks. My ps+ expires on the 27th, and i ain't renewing for that stupid price, so as soon as i am not able to do the multiplayer, going back to BG3, which i haven't played in almost a month.

Jedi Survivor and Apex Legends

Will probably still play a bit more Monster Hunter World: Iceborne as well. Finally beat Fatalis over a week ago and beat him several more times to get his full armour set and fully upgrade it along with his Great Sword fully upgraded. Pretty much have everything that I wanted to do in this game now but have been playing around with a couple other weapons.

Terraria, Elden Ring, Dark Souls 3 (if it magically goes on sale), and super Mario RPG.

Replaying Apollo Justice Ace Attorney.

Finally finished my play though of BG3, what a game! Will get back to it later to do a dark urge run!

Started up ghostwire Tokyo and having pretty fun despite the games combat sucks, been thinking about starting up the avatar game as it looks pretty great and I am in the mood for a shooter!

I've been enjoying Halo Infinite quite a bit this month.

Also thinking about playing some Infinite.

Started playing Dragon's Dogma recently. Feels overhyped, but it's already 12 yo game, so I might have expected too much.

Been playing some Deep Rock Galactic with friends lately, which will most likely continue.

Fallout 76 treasure hunter weekend, also playing Endless Dungeon co-op, and getting together with the crew for some irl gaming on a DnD sesh

Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy

Immortals Fenyx Rising and maybe some God of War.

I initially bounced off Immortals but got stuck into it more over the last week. Solid game. A nice game you can do stuff in short sessions after work. I also like the humour.....the game takes the piss out of a lot of things. Greek legends, game story tropes...it's good. Big too.

Character handling is weak though. The player character likes to do a small circle of movement when switching direction which is REALLY frustrating for tighter platforming sections. They also have an unnerving bounce when landing on the ground from a jump.

But yeah, overall enjoying it. I haven't gone far enough into GOW to make any sort of judgement on it.

I also hope to finish Dust: An elysian tale on the Deck. I'd rate it 6/10. Ok. A bit half baked though.

Hopefully finish off like a dragon ishin and deciding to clean up a few achievements on WWE 2k23 before 24 comes out.
