Which of the big three FPS are you enjoying most right now?

Not a multiplayer person, so that automatically counts out Battlefield. I also think I've made my opinion on the Call of Duty franchise pretty clear. Suffice to say, the only way you're ever gonna see my enjoying a Cod is with a side of tartar sauce and chips.

Which means Halo wins by default for me, even though I haven't played the multiplayer Beta, and the single player portion isn't out until next month. But hey, an elimination win is still a win.

Happy to say I haven't touched any of them.

Why Halo Infinite of course. 😜

Although to be fair I haven’t played the other two yet. I do enjoy Call of Duty so would like to play Vanguard. Not really all that much into the Battlefield games though but still wouldn’t mind at least giving 2042 a whirl someday at least.

Still rocking MWremastered, none of these new three look to be my cup of tea.

I tried out Halo. It's, well, Halo. It was taking a long time to find matches. The game ran well performance-wise anyway.

None of them appeal to me.

Why?

CoD: stupid rehash of a stale series that serves no point because Warzone still exists, which is already stale itself. Also made by a company that treats their employees like shit and pays lip service to treating workers well.

Battlefield: plagued with problems from the start, reviews of the game just don't make it sound that great. They did away with the tried-and-true class system and instead did some stupid "hero" system because....why? I don't know. Maybe they thought they could replicate APEX and their hero roster, make it seem "cool"? Also a shit company.

Halo: yawn. Not interested. Maybe the campaign will be good but Halo is just bland to me sorry not sorry.

In either case, I still need to beat Deathloop and then Far Cry 6 before my Uplay sub expires (cancelled that shit, screw Ubisoft).

Honestly, AAA development has been nothing but a massive disappointment to me for the past few years, but this year has really just driven that point home. Thank god for independent and small studio development.

If Tarkov only has a great update, I'd play that instead. But since I have Gamepass, might as well try for 10 hours.

None, Although I may try Battlefield as I am sick of CoD pumping out the same game every year. I enjoyed Cold War but refuse to give them money for Vanguard, so I may switch to a different franchise for multiplayer shooters for now.

Cod and BF are legit dead to me, their MP is crap compared to Halos and Halo MP is free

Halo previews looked meh after initial excitement about the game returning to its roots. BF has been a large letdown like the previous 2... it seems they forgot how to make their games fun. Vanguard wins... by a small margin, although it is pretty bare bones right now outside of map selection. The cheating and sbmm is insane. Sad times.

played Halo and BF2042 via the 10 hour trial so far.

I need to play more of both but I'd give the edge to 2042 at this point. Portal mode is great, and i've enjoyed the new 128 player conquest more than expected. It seems to result in less one-sided games/team stacking compared to the previous BF games which was always a big issue. also like how the maps are big enough to make vehicles more useful/valuable. Not huge on the specialist system but it hasn't made it not feel like battlefield like I feared, which is good.

just needs optimizing and bug fixes. but I've had a blast playing it with friends.

Halo i've enjoyed as well, never been huge on Halo MP but i've had some fun in the big team battle modes.

can't say I have any interest in Vanguard

I'm not interested in any tbh, havent played games from these series in a long time. If there was absolutely nothing to play id probably go with Halo.

All of them are fps games, not too much difference. I'm sure COD is just as good, same with battlefield. But I'm really loving halos graphics, and something about the game appeals to me more than the other 2.

Also halo just cemented itself again as one of the best traditional fps games out there.

Another thing I'd like to say about halo is that it's a good looking game, really good. But it falls far short of forza 5 or MSFS. I'm not taking away from halo either, it's a beautiful game. Just forza and MSFS drops your jaw with how amazing it looks while halo doesn't have that affect.

Yeah 'big' releases that feel 'smaller' than ever.

Call of Duty Vanguard

Can't say I didn't have fun in the open beta. It was enjoyable enough for a short whirl. Can't see myself putting in hours each day for the next year though.

The singleplayer has got me completely disinterested: Why did they have to rewrite history? There are enough heroic events you can base your game around. It just feels like drivel. Mindless, derivative drivel.

Battlefield 2042

Can't say I had much hype for this and I still walked away completely disappointed. I'm having issue finishing a full match, and that's not just because the game runs bad

Halo Infinite

Fired this up yesterday and it ran soooo smooth. I'll be enjoying the singleplayer, but skipping multiplayer as I'm playing different games online :)

Because all of those three are not available and will never be available (the system can't even handle them anyways lol) on a Switch. Imagine playing Eternal on the Switch🤣

On thread, none atm, but i am getting 2042 on the 19th and most likely gonna be playing it daily until at least Elden Ring release date.

considering Halo and Battlefield have clunky garbage gameplay, it would have to be COD.

Halo better than COD and BF combine. but better FPS coming next year like STALKER 2, Shadow warrior 3 and Atomic heart.

CoD looks like shit, BF2042 looks like crap, and Infinite just has a MP beta which I haven't tried yet.

I can bet my left nut that Halo is the better game of the three.

Halo Infinite is most badass game since Doom. MC is real badass man full of testosterone.

Halo infinite, and it's not even close, 2042 for my money during the beta felt like they have the gunplay completely off for console so that was an easy skip, Cod I'll still pickup warzone here and there but a ww2 cod at full retail is again an easy skip.

Halo infinite feels much closer to that classic deathmatch style game where it's not enough to just spawn trap someone, control of power weapons and pickups being key, also the fully implemented theatre mode that allows you to go back in and check out how the chaos broke down and exactly how that spammed grenade got a kill is as fun as it ever was.

You could always play the Killzone 2 revival server on PS3. Just went live to the public a few weekends ago.

Halo is amazing, and my go to shooter for sure. COD Vanguard sucks donkey. I haven't played 2042 yet, but I heard it's a pile of doggy doo doo.

Halo for me. I’m a huge battlefield fan, but right now 2042 doesn’t do it for me. The main problem is that it’s just too hectic. I’ll try again after a while, updates will improve it. Worst of all is the bloom they’ve added to the guns.

Halo Infinite campaign does remind me of Halo CE. So, if I play any, it might be that after a deep sale on PC. Halo Infinite doesn't look to have the quality of a game I'd make a day 1 purchase for.
