Sony is making the same mistake MS made with Games for Windows back in 2006.

And before anyone comes for me, I'm talking about the Games for Windows, not Games for Windows Live, which was paid online.

GFW forced users to have a MS account in the same way, and included achievements and friends lists.

Sony is doing the same here.....and PC gamers are reacting in the same way

Add downloadable PS3 games and I'd buy another PS5 and subscribe just for that.

Now that you mention it, I have an unopened copy of MGS4 that I keep lugging around since 2008.

I ended up getting a free digital copy after I had already bought it. When I found out about the installs for every chapter I just wanted the digital version.

Let's see if they'll bundle the emulator with the firmware (or download when you insert game) so your PS2 discs will work without forcing us to rebuy the games.....

I'll say 8 or 9 for a few reasons:

1. It's a movie game

2. It's short (and reviewers love short games)

3. Graphics, because that's all that matters apparently.

4. Low price, will be graded on a curve

How we all manage to read a financial report in different ways baffles me....

The truth lies in the shareholder response. Anyone want to guess why there was a selloff?? (Hint, only 2 parts of that release is relevant to shareholders)

Can you share a link to Sony financial support being the sole reason for FF7 remake existing?

Well, I wouldn't say it was the "sole reason", but it's obvious that Square Enix signed a console exclusivity deal with Sony when they greenlit the FF7remake project. Even if the amount isn't disclosed, it's self-evident that Sony's financial support was one of the major factors in getting Square Enix on board for such a huge undertaking and making it possible to the extent that it is. But if you say otherwise, feel free to share a "link" to it.

If Sony had funded it, they would also be the publisher.

Sony has never funded a game that they didn't then go on to publish, which makes sense when you think about it. Why fund a game if you can't have publishing rights?

Sony has never had to fully fund games from Square to secure exclusivity because it was always mutually beneficial....until this gen
