Looks good. Except for that really cringy song near the start. Sounds like that Nvidia AI generated blerg a couple of years ago. Yes: we get it. You're Astro Bot. No need to go on and on about it. Hopefully it's not in the game :S.

But the game itself looks like good fun. As I mentioned in the main thread though: I suspect this one is never coming to the PC. Just a baseless hunch on my part but I suspect it's not happening. If it does come tough i will be sure so pick it up.

I think i'm approaching the end of the main story in Fallout 3. Once that's done and the expansion is done I think I will call time and move on. Hasn't aged too badly overall. It's ugly but it's supposed to be ugly. Overall it's a nice looking game..er...in the context of being ugly. Tellin ya. A lot to be said for old tech and sheer brute force. Between that and Arkham City.....not the worst strategy if there are any AA studios out there :P.

After that I think I'll move onto Hi-Fi Rush and Deserts of Kharak. I also have a couple of missions left in Ace Combat 7.

@TheEroica: You don't buy any PC game that requires an account?

Psn will not load on steam deck because it's Linux based. They've lost a sale from me because they've made it impossible to play the game.

Yeah same for me. I'm hoping it's just a case of Proton needing some updated functionality to get PSN to work. GOT is out so Valve have something to test against. So hopefully Valve and Sony can get it sorted before Ragnarok releases.

It's a shame Sony are doing this but not surprising. They have said that one of their goals with these SP game releases is to get people to pick up PS consoles down the line. So having the PSN account and a bunch of achievements and friends set up would make the transition that bit easier for PC gamers. Or it could also go the way of Sony making their own PC store. Just sign in with your existing PSN account and you are good to go. But that's future stuff.

In the here and now: Am I going to forgo a purchase on principal over this? Nah. I have a PSN account already. So I just need to reset the password on that :P. If Sony and/or Valve get the Linux PSN issues sorted then a purchase is certainly on the table. If not then maybe...if I can be bothered to install windows. But it would be way way down the line and at a very hefty discount.

Man i really do need to look into getting my Index up and running again. Behemoth looks like a lot of fun.

I enjoyed God of War so looking forward to Ragnarok. Sadly it looks like it needs a PSN account and will be restricted to PSN countries. Hopefully whatever is stopping PSN on Linux/Steam deck will also be resolved before the games release.

Astro Bot looks cool too. The song reminds me of that cringy Nvidia AI generated song. But the game itself looks like it will be good fun. Hopefully it also does some light piss taking of PSs past. Sadly I have a hunch that this one will remain PS5 exclusive forever. Nothing solid to base that on mind...just a gut feeling.

New Monster Hunter: Looking great. Cringe dialogue and hokum story aside (really who cares?) looks like it'll be another belter. it looks like some more variety too rather than just another variant of a giant lizard (World was particularly guilty of this). However you know what I miss and I think they should bring back from the older games? The Sass. I miss the Sass. Everyone is too nice and optimistic.

This is the first time I heard of Zotac and Adata. Are these well-known PC manufacturers?

I have heard of Zotac. I think they make Mini PCs and some Nvidia graphics cards in the consumer space. I haven't used any of their stuff though so can't comment on quality.

Adata, i think, is more Peripherals. I haven't used any of their stuff either.

It will be interesting to see what they can bring to the table. A handheld with the full elite controller set up functionality does sound nice. An Amoled screen is also a good addition.

I wonder will Sony decide to pull the ladder up at some point and just announce "Right: no more PC SP games. They will be PS exclusive for all time". Is this really just a taster?

Personally speaking, I'm not inclined to buy a PS console at the moment as I know the games will come to the PC anyway. FOMO doesn't really affect me. I have a metric crap ton of games to play anyway so I'll just pick up Sonys games whenever they get around to it....and I feel like buying them.

Would I pick up a PS console if Sony said "right: no more SP Multiplat"? Yeah I would. I actually was going to get a PS5 as I skipped the PS4 and was thinking of getting it and raiding the PS4 backlog (games like Ghosts, Spidermand, GOW, Horizon and GT) as well as getting PS5 some exclusives. There would be enough games there for me to justify the console purchase. But I held off as soon as I heard whispers that they were brining those games to the PC.

If I bought a PS5 right now, the only games I would play are Astros playroom and GT7 (which may yet come to the PC). Astro is good...but it's not that good. There is nothing else on the PS5 that interests me and the console itself has no benefit over a PC as a games playing machine. I did buy a dualsense though so my PC can do a very good impression of a PS5 :P.

Yay. Hopefully a PC version soon. But not too soon as I have too many games to play. Also hopefully it's a better port (Seriously Square: Vsync).

I enjoyed remake overall. The additions to the story just seem a bit needless mostly (though maybe it will all click when the trilogy is actually done). But when they stick to the base material it works quite well. Combat was also fun.

It'll be interesting to see if that gets Gamepass subs moving in the right direction. 70 bucks up front or just start a Gamepass sub and jump right in.....could be tempting for many.

Not me though. I have no interest in COD. Haven't played it since MW1 and have no interest in the MP. A compilation of the SP campaigns could be a larf but that doesn't look like it will be a thing.

Depends on the cue.

The painted surfaces to denote places you can grab/climb....not ideal. I suspect it's happening because the level of geometry detail in modern games is far higher and the artists want the environments to look more natural. Nature, sadly, is not built on 2X2 squares and clear climbable surfaces. So how does the player know what's climbable and what's not? So either the developer makes everything climbable or they have clear systems in place to tell the player where they can climb.

In open world games, I kinda wish they got rid of the quest marker and, instead, worked on giving the player enough information so they can figure out where to go. With the quest marker, the player just spends more time looking at the marker to make sure they are going the right way. But, with the latter system, the player is looking around, scanning the horizon, looking for signs that they are in the right place. That's more engaging. The big danger with the latter system though is the player can end up completely lost (though that can be fun too if there is enough interesting stuff going on in the game). It's very hard to pull off.

New Doom game

News on Dragon Quest 12 and 3 HD-2D

Some new game announcements from Nintendo. It would be nice too if they decided to reveal some information on their next console.

I think they officially said that there won't be any Switch 2 news for June. So on the Nintendo front it looks like it will be more the Switches last hurrah. There may still be a nice surprise or 2 in there though. I think it was the year of the Switch reveal that they also had a couple of nice surprises for the 3DS like Metroid Samus Returns also.

I suspect Nintendos big guns are polishing their bombs and megatons for the Switch 2 though so I wouldn't be hoping for too much.

Anywho I hope for a surprise as always.

And a release date for the PC version of FF7 Rebirth would also be good (Note to self...maybe think about starting Reunion).
