Should GS stop publishing Potato Mode articles?

It's dumb and easy, just another vehicle for video ads.

Gamespot has some surprisingly good content of late (relatively speaking), and while potato mode was neat at first, its novelty has worn off; we get it, things look funny when they are dialed down to 0.

I am enjoying the videos about famous weapons in games, however, so Gamespot is still doing....sort of OK....of late. The one about the WH40K bolter was surprisingly in-depth with some really neat interviews with the Games Workshop museum.

Nah, it's decent content for a gaming website.

I'd rather they stop reporting on movies and TV shows (obviously Witcher would be a logical exception) and focus on more games journalism, like the kind of stuff Patrick Klepek or Jason Schreier. New stuff, you know, that you don't find on press releases.

Not really my thing, but light entertainment for whoever else, can just not click it.

They should keep it, but rethink it to make it more useful. For instance, test out new games on older harware. Would be nice to see what could run reasonably well on our rig, for those of us who don't upgrade that often.

I'd agree, this actually would be interesting.

The idea of seeing old games pimped up like an old banger car to see how far they can go is also very appealing.
