What games are most likely to win Game of the Year

What about Mario Maker? I could see that being somewhere in top 5 or 10

Fallout, Batman Arkham Knight and SOMA

I'll be very shocked if it goes to Fallout with all of the other games coming out this year.

Honestly, unless it gets forgotten like games that come out early in the year tend to be, I really think that Witcher 3 has the best shot at it. If it does get snubbed however, I think it will probably go to MGSV, even though I've heard very mixed things about how good the game actually is, Gamespot seems to worship the ground it walks on.

@couchpals: Mario Maker is a great product, and I've lost hours to it already, but I feel that it would be unfair to the other games if it were to win GOTY tbh. While it's really good at what it does, it's a lot more of a well-crafted tool than it is a new, original game in the franchise. If it were like LittleBigPlanet, where the editor was wrapped around a core game I'd feel differently, but from what I've seen, Mario Maker seems to be completely based on user created content(unless I've just somehow avoided a mode filled with levels made by Nintendo, which I'm sure is very possible).

Its definitely between Fallout 4 and the Witcher

I would say metal gear solid 5 and witcher 3 are the best games

And why the hell are we voting for games irrespective of perception. Fallout 4 isn't out so why the hell is it raking alot of votes. The very ideology of voting for a game that isn't out outbests my intelligence

i wanted mgs v to win the game of the year , but to be honest after completing the game i think the game doesn't have the character which defines metal gear solid series. mgs 5 is pure game play. totally lacks an epic story .

I think Halo 5 is the best one for this year ;)
