Lenovo has announced their new Miix 720.

April release, starting at $999 (keyboard and stylus included).

Specifications:

  • 12" 2880x1920 display
  • up to Intel Core i7-7500U (Kaby Lake)
  • up to Intel HD Graphics 620
  • up to 16 GB DDR4 memory
  • up to 1 TB PCIe SSD storage
  • Front facing infrared camera (Windows Hello face detection)
  • 1x Thunderbolt 3 port (USB-C), 1x USB 3.0 port, 1x USB 2.0 port, 3.5 mm audio port, microSD card slot
  • 5 MP rear camera
  • keyboard cover (backlit) + Lenovo Active Pen 2 included

Lenovo's new Active Pen 2 is based on Wacom AES Gen 13 tech, offering support for 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity, tilt and 240Hz pen refresh.

While some of these features sound compelling over a Surface Pro 4, the Surface Pro 5 is expected to be announced in March and will likely offer the same if not better features than this tablet.

Will probably be as clunky as the Microsoft Surface line.
