Animal Crossing New Horizons

So far I haven't had a single snowball on my island, even though I've been told to make snow folk for Nook Miles. Am I doing something wrong?

@yikesdude: I maybe mistaken but from experience I think you only get like 1 or 2 snowballs a day as long as you don't break them or make them fall into the water.

Someone finally told me that snowballs only appear if you have a large enough area that's free from any obstructions. Once I cleared off a space from everything including flowers and weeds, the snowballs appeared in just a few minutes.
