The Messenger is very good. (2D action platformer ninja.) I was intimidated at first because people said it's a real difficult game but it was a good enough game to make me feel good about playing it through to the end.

That's good to hear, because I've wanted to pick it up but heard the same thing. Also heard that there is a lot of backtracking in the game... is that true?
There are heaps of e-Shop games that I love such as Katana Zero, Golf Story, Ape Out, What Remains of Edith Finch...to name a few.
