Seems risky.
Very worthless to get a degree in that specific of a thing.
If you want to be an actual esport "athlete", then you don't need a degree.
If you want to write about esports, then get a degree in journalism or a literature degree.
if you want to run an esports team or manage them, get a business degree.
Would be very silly to get a degree in anything esport related and if you get a professional degree you're probably getting it at a for-profit school, and essentially all of those are scams and not worth going to.
There's an esports degree now?
I can't imagine there being one at an accredited school, but I imagine a for-profit scam school probably has one of those. You know, you probably see ads for it on daytime TV in between the trash reality shows.
Sort of like the ads for the US Navy or Army where they're like "Hey you like video games? Come fly drones LIKE A MAN in the Army! It's just like Call of Duty!"
My own personal point of view is that you should only study hard skills, everything else you will pick up in life as you do things.
If you want to get in to eSports, I would just start by studying something that eSports needs, like video editing, sounds, public speaking, programming, etc.
Something to get you through the door and get a job. then you can start learning the industry from inside while earning money.
Also you could try to get a job in the industry before you study anything and learn from inside what you like so you can study it later during a hiatus or during night time.
