So far, I loved Wendy's 4 for $4 menu! A Jr. Classic Bacon Cheese, small fries, 4 nuggets, and a small drink. It's pretty much the best bang for the buck, that other chains are copying.

Burger King, on the other hand, while quality may vary, may steal this away. I enjoy their 2 for $5 all year. Despite being a ripoff of McDonalds deal that's only seasonal, it's still in effect all year.

So OT, what are the best deals in your favorite fast food restaurant?

$5 dollar Big Box from Taco Bell. 1 big bean-chorizo burrito, 1 taco and a chalupa plus chips and nacho cheese for $5.

It's like the southern version of White Castle, except the sliders are made with mustard instead of ketchup. http://krystal.com/

@FireEmblem_Man:

Shouldn't you be addressing the problems with Butler, Wade, Rondo and Cutler? =(

Anyway, I do like Checker's $4 for $3 which includes small fries/coke, Apple pie and choice between checker burger, spicy chicken sandwich or fish sandwich.

There is a chaupla version? I mean I know they added the double stack Taco version but I didn't see a chaupla version.

Anyway, $5 boxes is a good deal. I really liked the nachos. You can feed 2-3 people with this.

@FireEmblem_Man:

How far do you have to travel to your local fast food restaurants? I mean you being in Aurora and all.

Inside my neighborhood McDonald's, Subway, Checker's(Opened 2013) and WingStop(Opened 2014) are just a 2-5 min walk.

Burger King, Wendy's, Church's Chicken and Pizza Hut is in the next community. About a 10-20 min walk.

Between those major brands, we do have multiple Mexican joints.

It seems suburbanites have to drive an hour or 2 to find a restaurant.

I don't eat fast food that much but Burger King's 1.49 nuggets deal is amazing. Sure, they're not the greatest nuggets in the world but I can get 30 of them for less than $5. You can't beat that.

It depends on what you want out of your meal, most people seem to want a ton of food for a low cost. Personally though I like a relatively low cal meal that's still tasty for a low cost. For that I go to taco bell where I get two soft taco supremes, a fiesta potato bowl, and a medium soda, and it's under five bucks. Not the most filling ever, but thats okay because it's under 500 calories, and it's potatoes that aren't french fries for a change.

Really like how Wendy's has kind of forced the hand of the other chains. Now they all have their own variation (McD's needs to add something more into their mix).

My fave would go to the mentioned Checker's or also to Hardee's: Double Cheeseburger, Spicy Chicken Sandwich, small fry, and a drink.

Actually, it's not that bad! Their Jalepeno McChicken, McDouble, 6 nuggets, or fries mix and match will vary on what you match.

Agreed, it's not that bad. That stated -- since they're the industry leader, I'd expect them to be more of the driver in this regards. Mix it up more; regional specials, or up the ante and do a 3 for $5, introduce something brand new for the menu.

I always go to Chick-Fil-A, it's my all time favorite fast food joint, it's the best place to eat there, the number 1 food in the world,,,,,oops, I got carried away there. For me, I always get the Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich Combo-Medium Drink, Medium Waffle Fries & Chicken Sandwich for only $6 bucks! Great good taste and $6 bucks isn't too shabby if you ask me. Now if you want everything large for the same combo, it's $7 dollars but even then, that's also a good value bang for the bucks.

Is not a good deal at all. I mean last year it was 2 for $2. And back in my day a mcdouble/double cheeseburger was a $1. McDonald's pretty much killed the dollar menu.

I'm also disappointed McDonald's didn't keep that summer promotion where you can get any mcgriddle, hash brown and small coffee for $4. Mcgriddles by themselves is about $3.

Oh and FireEmblem, Saturday night I went to Walmart and spotted Cinnamon Frosted Flakes. Strange it was only the family size for $3.98 but I bought it. I'm disappointed. =(

Also I discovered Pancake Cap'n Crunch. I didn't buy those but I will try it next time.

Back to Cinnamon Frosted Flakes, it taste more like regular Frosted Flakes. Maybe its because of the milk but I'm not really getting that cinnamon flavor.

@davillain-: I love Chik-fil-A, too. Best chicken sandwiches by far, and those waffle fries + chikfila sauce = bliss. However, I wouldn't mention them as a value option.

The 5 dollar box from Taco Bell is great!

Burger King has a 3.99 Whopper Jr Deal that comes with fries, nuggets and a drink.

Dairy Queens $5 Buck lunch is also great because of the treat it comes with.

I get what you're saying. I feel like apart from the 5 dollar box (3 main items a side and a drink) the items become pricey.

Good point. I mean Steak and Shake is not in my area but I seen tons of commercials.

Mireille:"Subway had a $6 deal on the Steak & Cheese footlong last month, which was pretty great, as that is my favorite sandwich there."

Subway is way overpriced. What happened to the $5 footlongs? Also I think the promotion for any footlong is $6.

@PSP107: That's true, that's true, I've been wondering that myself, according to this article, it was a mixture of inflation, slowing sales, and Jared Fogle. Yeah, they just kicked off that promotion earlier this month, the any footlong for $6 one.

Dairy Queen used to have a pretty sweet lunch deal. You'd get a burger or chicken strips, drink, fries, and either like a dilly bar, ice cream sandwich or small sundae. It was in the neighborhood of $5. I don't get to go there that often so I can't speak much more on that.

I think Burger King and Taco Bell have some of the best values.

BK's $1.49 nuggets are great, and even their $1.00 cheeseburgers are fine - I much prefer them to the Whopper. They always send coupons each month with some notable values as well - and there is the 2 Whopper meals for $10, which is great since nowadays most meals cost you more than $5.

Taco Bell has the value box, but they also have a pretty decent $1 menu, and a fantastic $2.99 deal that comes with one of 4 entrees, a drink and a bag of Doritos.

$5 lunch box still exist at Dairy Queen. $10 whopper meal is not s good deal. Taco Bell increase the price of the Doritos deal. I used to get meal deal C and I could sworn it was $2.49.

$10 whopper meal is not s good deal.

Well you get two meals for $10. That's 2 drinks, 2 fries, 2 whoppers. I mean normally if you get a meal at a fast foodrestaurant it's going to be over $5.00, sometimes you can easily pay $10 just for a single meal. So being able to have two people eat full meals for $10 isn't real bad.
