I'm looking for some good deals for my friend who wants a new computer. He doesn't want to build it, but rather just buy a complete package, or almost complete one (as in maybe upgrade the memory or what not.)

Hes into music creation, does not game at all...So things like a big hd, a lot of memory, etc are important.

So really my main question is, what retailer has the best deals? I was looking into Ibuypower, but started reading some bad stuff about them. He doesn't want to spend any more than $800.

Thanks.

Less than $800 for a music studio machine? He's going to want to spend more than that on a sound card and software alone.

I mean basically $800 mainly on the computer. He has other money set aside for other equpiment and or he already has a lot of the audio related things.

It's not so much of which manufacturer would be best, but rather what would be best to put into it. If you plan on downloading a lot of music you need a pc with high cpu speeds. Also if you're getting windows you should probably get media center edition.
